Mintrocket, the team behind the popular game Dave the Diver, has revealed more details about its new downloadable content (DLC) expansion.
The developers recently shared some fresh information about their upcoming game, In the Jungle, which is scheduled to launch in early 2026.
The video states that the downloadable content adds around 10 hours of new gameplay, making it a significant expansion to the original game.
This new area transports you to Utara, a jungle village where time flows just like in real life. This allows you plenty of time to explore, collect items, and build relationships with the villagers – it feels a lot like playing Animal Crossing.
To progress, you’ll need to get to know the residents of Utara. As they warm up to Dave, they’ll begin visiting Bancho’s Grill, the restaurant featured in the downloadable content.
Working at Bancho’s Grill lets you move around more than in the main game. Plus, the video shows it includes fun new mini-games!
The new restaurant will specialize in freshwater fish, requiring frequent trips to a large lake to source them. This lake is home to many undiscovered species, but also dangerous creatures like crocodiles and piranhas.
Dave now has a versatile new weapon called the Jungle Gun. It can change into almost any gun type from the original game, making him much more useful while navigating watery environments.
The new extra chapter for Dave the Diver seems fantastic, promising the same variety of gameplay and enjoyable minigames that fans love.
There’s no concrete date as yet, but “early 2026” suggests the wait won’t be a long one.
