David Del Rio’s wife Katherine Del Rio is speaking out amid his sexual assault allegations.
Following reports that actor David, known for his role in *Matlock* and as Billy Martinez on the CBS series starring Kathy Bates, had been removed from the show due to a sexual assault allegation investigation, his wife posted vague and critical messages online about his costar, Leah Lewis. CBS confirmed David’s departure but declined to provide additional details.
Katherine, who married David in 2018, called Leah “the most disturbing human being I’ve ever met” in an Instagram Story posted on October 9th. The story, which included a close-up photo of Leah, has since been deleted, but was viewed by publications like Page Six and Us Weekly.
That day, Leah, known for playing lawyer Sarah Franklin on *Matlock*, appeared to address the recent issues and David’s exit by posting a picture of herself with her mother, Lorraine Lewis, and a note to her fans.
As reported by Deadline and Page Six, the Nancy Drew actress shared on Instagram on October 9th that her mother is with her. She stated they are moving forward with love and strength, and that she feels well-supported and cared for, thanking everyone for their kindness.
She added, “We’re definitely making progress and getting stronger. Remember that – strength is what’s most important.”
Katherine, a mother to two daughters – Lilliam, age 2, and Coco, 7 months – shared a post seemingly inspired by another one, alongside a photo of herself with her own mother. She also directly mentioned the actress known for her role in *Matlock*.
Katherine shared in a post on October 9th that her mother is with her, and they are healing and staying strong after a difficult situation involving Leah. She expressed gratitude for the support they’ve received.
TopMob News has contacted CBS, David’s representatives about his departure, and the representatives for Leah and Katherine, but hasn’t received a response yet.

The legal drama *Matlock*, a reimagining of the 1984 series that originally starred Andy Griffith, will be back for a second season on October 12th. Production will pause briefly next week and continue after Thanksgiving, according to Deadline.
