David Harbour Is Unrecognizable With Gray Hair Transformation

David Harbour is like papa—at least when it comes to his latest look.

The Stranger Things actor looked completely different while filming the upcoming movie Evil Genius, a biopic about Brian Douglas Wells, and directed by Courteney Cox.

David, believed to be playing a key role alongside Kenneth Barnes in the 2003 “pizza bombing” bank robbery, was spotted on the movie set on November 10th. He sported a new, shaggy gray hairstyle and a full gray beard.

He finished his striking new look with a light blue, short-sleeved button-down shirt worn under partially fastened blue overalls. Sometimes, he layered a tan work jacket over the outfit.

The actor, age 50, looked quite different from his appearance at the Stranger Things season five premiere in Los Angeles on November 6th. At that event, he wore a black-and-white striped suit and tie. This time, he showed up with his usual style: short, dark brown hair and a neatly trimmed mustache.

As a lifestyle observer, I noticed something interesting at the premiere! David was there, which was great, but it seemed he wasn’t part of the main promotional group with the incredible cast – Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, and Sadie Sink – as they celebrated the final season of that hugely popular Netflix series. It was a bit odd not seeing him alongside them during the main promotional events.

He was actually away filming a movie about a pizza deliveryman named Wells who robbed a bank while wearing a bomb. The bomb then exploded. The film, based on the 2018 true crime documentary of the same name by Barbara Schroeder and Trey Borzillieri, is being shot in Woodbridge, New Jersey, and will also star Patricia Arquette alongside David.

While David was working on a new film, his ex-wife, Lily Allen, released her album West End Girl. The album hints that his infidelity led to their divorce after four years of marriage. Lily Allen has said the album was inspired by her relationship with David, marking her first release in seven years.

She explained to British Vogue last month that she created the album in December 2024 as a way to work through personal experiences. While the album contains references to events during her marriage, she clarified it’s not a completely accurate account, but rather inspired by the relationship.
