Dax Shepard & Kristen Bell Detail Their “Bonkers” New Year’s

Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell’s love is an open door.

Dax Shepard, host of the Armchair Expert podcast, and Kristen Bell, star of Frozen, celebrated the new year with their daughters, Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 11, surrounded by family and friends.

Dax shared a fun New Year’s post on Instagram with photos of him and Kristen. He joked that even though their daughter covered all the camera lenses with her fingers, a picture still came out! He hopes the rest of 2026 will be just as delightfully chaotic.

Kristen, 45, wrote in her husband’s comments, “Love love loved this adventure!!!”

The Veronica Mars alum also shared her own photos from the evening, writing, “Family 2026.”

Kristen and Dax got married in a private ceremony in 2013, and she’s often talked about how they’ve kept their relationship strong despite being in the public spotlight.

Kristen shared on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live that she doesn’t love the idea of searching for your ideal partner without also being willing to adapt and compromise yourself. She believes a successful relationship requires two people who are committed to making things work, consistently finding compromises that benefit both of them.

She explained that things will have their ups and downs, but we need to work together instead of seeing each other as opponents. We’re all facing the same challenges, and we should be united in overcoming them.

They also have a strong connection, understanding each other’s joys, challenges, and everything in between.

She added that because we both enjoy being creative, our conversations often feel collaborative and productive, like we’re building something together, even when the topic is unexpected.

She’s grateful for the way she and Dax have worked through things in their relationship, and both of them are committed to making their marriage strong.

“I am glad I chose my husband,” she said, “because he has a commitment to growth at all times.”

In September 2025, Kristen shared a sweet look at her family’s close relationship while celebrating Dax’s milestone of staying sober.

She shared what reaching 21 years of sobriety means to her: a lot of love and connection. ‘Lots of hugging—everyone and everything, life itself,’ she wrote. She expressed her deep gratitude to Dax Shepard, saying, ‘Thank you for getting sober. I am eternally grateful to have you, as are we all.’

The father-daughter duo cuddled during a sweet moment in another snap.

Dax proved he’s the ultimate girl dad while sharing a hug with his kiddo, clan in lemon pajamas.
