Enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the new “Dungeons & Dragons” book titled “Eberron: Forge of the Artificer” have been dealt a slight setback. Originally slated for release on August 19th, 2025, Wizards of the Coast has announced that the book’s launch will be postponed by several months. As a result, fans won’t be able to acquire the new Eberron book until December 9th instead. This delay also affects the early access plans for “D&D Beyond” subscribers.
People eagerly anticipating the revised version of the Artificer will likely be disheartened by the news of a delay. But remember, this delay is necessary. In their announcement about the postponement, Wizards of the Coast revealed pictures of the initial print copies of Forge of the Artificer, explaining why the book isn’t launching as scheduled. The printed copies failed to meet Dungeons & Dragons production standards because an issue was discovered that took a bit to detect. Consequently, the covers of the books have begun to warp, leading the first print run of the new book to fall short of expectations. As a result, Wizards is arranging for a complete reprint of the physical version of Forge of the Artificer.
Hey there fellow gamers! I’ve got some exciting news for all you Eberron enthusiasts out there like myself. Mark your calendars, because Eberron: Forge of the Artificer is officially dropping on December 9, 2025! However, there’s a slight hiccup we need to address – it seems there was an unforeseen printing issue during production that affected both physical and digital editions. Don’t worry though, you can find all the details about this minor delay through the link below. Let’s keep our gaming spirits high and look forward to diving into Eberron together soon!

To guarantee that no “D&D” enthusiasts receive a faulty copy, we’re reprinting the entire line. However, this quality measure means there’ll be a delay in the arrival of the new books. Consequently, the launch date for “Eberron: Forge of the Artificer” has been moved to December 9th. This adjustment also affects digital editions, as Wizards is maintaining consistency with release dates.
Revised Early Access Schedule for Forge of the Artificer
Generally, D&D Beyond subscribers enjoy a head start of a few weeks when it comes to new books such as “Forge of the Artificer.” However, due to the updated release date for this book, the Early Access schedule has been adjusted. Here’s the revised plan: The digital text early access will be rolled out as follows:
- WPN Stores & D&D Beyond Master Tier Subscribers – November 25th (two weeks early)
- D&D Beyond Hero Tier Access – December 2nd (one week early)
These dates are shifted back to align with the new release schedule.
New Pre-Order Bonus Adventure Added to Forge of the Artificer Release

To make up for any inconvenience caused by the delay, Wizards of the Coast is providing an additional perk for those who have already pre-ordered the Eberron: Forge of the Artificer. Alongside the previously mentioned free digital dice, players will also receive a bonus mini-adventure. The specifics about this bonus adventure are yet to be disclosed, but it will come with your D&D Beyond purchase or at your partner store on December 9th. Further details regarding the extra bonus adventure will be shared as we approach the new book release date.
As an ardent fan, I must admit that the delay in the release of “Forge of the Artificer” has definitely left me feeling a tad frustrated – it was a book I had eagerly anticipated. Yet, I find solace in knowing that this pause is far preferable to receiving flawed physical copies. While we may have to exercise patience for a slightly longer wait, the reprinted books will undoubtedly grace our Dungeons & Dragons shelves with a more polished and appealing appearance.
