Following an earlier hint, Dead by Daylight creators Behaviour Interactive have now disclosed their complete strategy for a partnership with AMC’s The Walking Dead. The new chapter is set to debut on July 29th for all players, and it’s accessible today in the PTB. This chapter introduces series main characters Rick Grimes and Michonne as fresh Survivors, while Daryl Dixon will also show up in the game as a Legendary Outfit for Rick. Fans of the show can look forward to hearing original voice acting from two stars of the series: Andrew Lincoln (as Rick) and Norman Reedus (as Daryl).
Rick’s Famed Attire is set to join the lineup of Dead by Daylight’s The Walking Dead Collection. This collection will offer various alternate costumes for both Rick and Michonne, such as Uncommon color variations, along with outfits inspired by specific episodes of the show. For Michonne, expect designs based on “The Next World” and “What We Become,” while Rick’s outfits will include a “Last Day on Earth” costume and one called “Brutal Awakening,” which may be influenced by his appearance after waking up from a coma in the initial episode.

Rick and Michonne are set to join “Dead by Daylight” with six additional character bonuses. Given that collaboration was a key aspect in “The Walking Dead” series as Rick and Michonne’s team worked together to endure, all of their unique perks will be centered around teamwork. Here’s a list of Rick’s new perks: Apocalyptic Ingenuity, Come and Get Me!, and Teamwork: Toughen Up. For Michonne, her perks are Conviction, Last Stand, and again, Teamwork: Toughen Up. The Teamwork: Toughen Up perk will emphasize pallet stuns, but each character will have unique advantages associated with it.
In the course of their partnership, fans of “Dead by Daylight” can anticipate finding a fresh tile in the Garden of Joy map. This tile will show up whenever Rick or Michonne are summoned into the game, and it seems to be tainted by The Entity. It incorporates components from various parts of “The Walking Dead” series, such as the well-known hospital doors labeled “don’t open, dead inside,” as well as elements reminiscent of the prison.
In the storyline of Dead by Daylight’s chapter inspired by The Walking Dead, it aligns with the main storyline of the TV series before the occurrence of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. The developers have focused this chapter around Rick’s apparent death following a bridge blast, as Michonne and the group believe he perished. However, the audience is aware that Rick survived. Consequently, his loved ones persist in their search for him or his remains. It is revealed that Rick had been drawn into The Fog briefly before reuniting with his companions. As Michonne embarks on her quest for answers, she too steps into The Fog after hearing Rick’s voice emanating from the other side.
