The game Dead Space begins with a distress call from three scientists – Dr. Salinger, Dr. Darden, and Dr. Stote – who realize their scientific experiment has gone terribly wrong. Commander Krieger responds to their call for help, but upon arrival, the scientists surprisingly try to cover up what happened and continue their work.

Krieger is tasked with defending against a rapidly spreading creature and the dangerous virus it carries. As the infection overwhelms the crew, it’s a desperate fight for survival, forcing difficult choices to protect the wider universe.
