‘Deadpool’ Star Gets Violent in Action Horror Movie ‘They Will Kill You’

Get ready for a new, intense thriller that blends action and horror! Starring an actor known from Joker and Deadpool 2, They Will Kill You is being described as a violent, action-packed horror film. Think of the gritty feel of the 2019 film Upgrade combined with the incredible martial arts of The Raid – and you’ll have an idea of what to expect. The movie is scheduled for release next year.

The first trailer for the new horror film, They Will Kill You, hints at a terrifying night for a housekeeper who takes a job at a luxurious, but unsettling, Manhattan building with a history of mysterious disappearances. The film marks the debut project for Nocturna, Skydance’s new horror division, and is directed by Andy and Barbara Muschietti, known for It: Welcome to Derry.

The movie draws clear parallels to both Ready or Not and The Raid. Like the protagonists in those films, the main character finds herself trapped in a building full of people hunting her, and must fight her way out. Combining elements of both action-packed martial arts (similar to The Raid) and a deadly game of survival (like Ready or Not), the result is a thrilling and violent experience.

I’m really excited about this new movie! The latest trailer and its official ‘R’ rating – it’s earned that one with all the strong violence, gore, and mature language – definitely have my attention. It’s directed by Kirill Sokolov, who made Why Don’t You Just Die, and he co-wrote the script with Alex Litva. The cast is incredible too – Myha’la, Patricia Arquette, Heather Graham, and even Tom Felton from Harry Potter are all in it! It’s an action horror film hitting theaters on March 27, 2026, and I can’t wait to see it. Here’s what it’s about…

A woman starts working as a housekeeper in a strange, upscale apartment building in New York City. While learning about the building’s past, she discovers a pattern of disappearances and suspects a connection to a possible satanic cult.

More to come…
