DeAnna Pappas Speaks Out: The Truth Behind Her Arrest Revealed!

DeAnna Pappas wants to set to record straight on her domestic battery arrest.

Previously on “The Bachelorette,” the show’s alum issued a statement through her representative, addressing an incident in February. This event, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department, was said to have ensued after an argument with her ex-husband, Stephen Stagliano – both parents of kids Addison (11) and Austin (9).

On April 2, DeAnna posted on her Instagram Stories to clear up any confusion about a legal matter connected to an incident with her ex-husband. The investigation and examination of video proof led the investigating detective to conclude that DeAnna was not the one who instigated the incident. No criminal charges were brought against her as a result.

The message went on to say, “Ms. Pappas chose to withdraw her temporary restraining order willingly, aiming for mutual understanding. This move enabled them to avoid lengthy disputes and protect the children from unnecessary public attention.

Previously on The Bachelorette, the show’s alum released a statement, issued by their representative, addressing an incident in February. This event, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department, stemmed from an alleged disagreement with her ex-husband, Stephen Stagliano – together they have children, Addison (11 years old) and Austin (9 years old).

On April 2nd, DeAnna posted on her Instagram Stories to clear up recent public rumors about the legal situation arising from an event with her ex-husband. She confirmed that no criminal charges were brought forth in this case.

The message went on to say, “Ms. Pappas decided to withdraw her temporary restraining order willingly, so she could work together and create an agreement that would protect the children from ongoing disputes and unnecessary public attention.

The 43-year-old is steadfast in shielding her kids from any additional distress and upholding their legal right to confidentiality, as stated. It’s also mentioned that this issue is being handled correctly within the judicial system, and Ms. Pappas won’t be providing further statements at the moment.

TopMob News has reached out to Stephen’s rep for comment and has not heard back.

DeAnna, who appeared on The Bachelorette during its fourth season in 2008, was taken into custody on February 27 after an alleged disagreement with her former partner. She was later released from police custody on a $20,000 bond later that day.

According to her, she contacted her ex-partner following their daughter’s request to stay at his place due to the girl’s unique requirements. DeAnna claimed that upon her arrival, he stated that she should walk closer to him so he could sniff her breath to verify if she was intoxicated. The former contestant of The Bachelor Nation further explained that she hadn’t consumed any alcohol.

DeAnna asserted in her plea that during his visit, Stephen aggressively thrust and pushed her. Fearing he might harm me, I swiftly retreated into the house, locked the door, and waited for the police to arrive. Upon their arrival, she claimed that she told the Sheriff that she was the instigator who attacked him, which was untrue.

The court records from Los Angeles indicate that the temporary restraining order was dropped on March 27, as there was no further action taken by the prosecution.

On the 7th of March, I took the step to file a domestic violence restraining order against Stephen, due to repeated instances of both verbal and physical abuse that he inflicted upon me. These incidents, unfortunate as they were, frequently occurred in the presence of our children. I outlined the alleged events of the night I was arrested, detailing the unfortunate circumstances.

In the filing, she mentioned that after their daughter (who has special requirements) requested to stay at her ex’s house, she made a call to him. DeAnna claimed that upon his arrival, he demanded she walk nearer to him so he could sniff her breath to confirm she wasn’t intoxicated. The former Bachelor contestant added that she hadn’t consumed any alcohol at all.

On his very first night at the Bachelor mansion, Grant Ellis could have encountered 25 potential romantic partners, but it was none other than Juliana Pasquarosa who ultimately received his final rose. As they prepare for their wedding, the bride-to-be has shared her top priority for their special day.

In an interview with TopMob News in March 2025, she emphasized that regardless of the location or appearance, what truly matters is that it’s filled with love and everyone from our family is present. She added that no matter what activities we engage in, we will have a wonderful time together.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but relive the magical moment when Joan Vassos, the enchanting lady who captivated viewers on the pioneering season of The Golden Bachelor, found her soulmate on the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette. After a whirlwind journey that saw her leave Gerry Turner’s season prematurely, she found herself standing in front of the one and only Chock Chapple.

In the heartwarming finale of November 2024 on The Golden Bachelorette, Joan shared words that resonated with countless hearts when she declared, “We are living proof that even at our age, there is always hope for love.” With Chock down on one knee in the breathtaking beauty of Bora Bora, he proposed by saying, “I waited ’til this moment in this amazing location to tell you that I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to wake up next to you in the morning, and I want to kiss you when I go to bed at night.

In the season finale of “The Bachelorette” (season 21), it seemed like former “Bachelor” contestant Jenn Tran was on track for a joyful conclusion with her final selection, Devin Strader. However, in September during “After the Final Rose,” Jenn, aged 26, disclosed that Devin, who is 28 years old, turned cold towards her immediately once the cameras stopped rolling.

During the September 3rd show, Jenn explained to host Jesse Palmer that the man she was with had once made passionate declarations of affection, but the next day he seemed indifferent and refused to acknowledge any feelings of love. The promises and affection he had expressed towards her were no longer present.

The events unfolded further as Devin posted a 13-minute video on Instagram, explaining his perspective and also expressing accountability. In the same video, he provided reasons behind his decision to end the relationship, which had been discussed during a 15-minute conversation over the phone.

Instead of claiming Jenn accused him of ending their relationship during the phone call in August, he suggested that Jenn had asked him why he seemed upset and was trying to figure out how to tell her in person that things weren’t working.

He admitted that he was unsure about what other options he had, adding that he had been hesitant to share the news with her face-to-face. Essentially, she had given him no choice but to reveal it.

Ever since that time, Jenn has strolled towards “Dancing with the Stars” and perhaps Sasha Farber’s heart as well. They’ve been fueling romance speculations since their elimination on October 29th.

In November 2022, Greg Grippo (a former suitor of Katie Thurston on The Bachelorette the previous year) appeared alongside Victoria Fuller on the season finale of Bachelor in Paradise. During their stay, they publicly declared that they were in a relationship. However, in April 2024, he disclosed that their relationship had come to an end.

During their interview on Good Morning America with Theresa in April 2024, Gerry expressed that they have shared many meaningful conversations and carefully examined their circumstances, including their living situation among other things. He went on to say that, after much consideration, both of them have agreed that it seems appropriate for them to end their marriage.

Your energy is contagious and it always makes me smile. It’s a sensation I’ve never experienced before.”
Imagining his future with the woman from Louisiana, he continued, “For some time now, I’ve known that I wanted a wonderful life. But it wasn’t until I met you that I truly understood how extraordinary that life could be.

Relationship Status: Separated

Although underwater welder John Henry Spurlock and nurse Kat Izzo didn’t initially bond during season nine of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’, they were ready to take the plunge. “I’m going to attempt something a bit unconventional,” he expressed as he presented an Ascher cut Neil Lane diamond. “Today, I’m following my heart. My heart tells me you are fantastic, you are everything I have been searching for.”

However, a few days after the season finale, they announced their separation via a joint Instagram post. “Despite our paths diverging due to our professional aspirations not being in harmony,” they wrote, “we are thankful for the love and encouragement we’ve received from our loved ones and Bachelor Nation.

In the end, the story revealed that Eliza Isichei (formerly Clayton Echard’s girlfriend) had agreed to Aaron Bryant’s beachside proposal, despite her initial apprehensions about the engagement. Moved by Aaron’s gesture of seeking approval from her mother, she expressed, “I couldn’t predict what I was going to say next.”

The final scene hinted at some difficulties Eliza faced upon their return from Mexico, and a few days later, they confirmed their split. On Instagram in December 2023, Charity shared, “It’s been challenging to watch everything unfold. We are parting ways amicably, maintaining only positive feelings and respect for each other.

Initially, postpartum nurse Kylee Russell was disappointed that her boyfriend Aven Jones refused to propose – a move he had reportedly been ready for while courting Bachelorette Rachel Recchia. However, she eventually agreed to Aven’s Paradise proposal saying they needed to “get out of here and make it work.”

Since this meant her engagement dress stayed packed, she stated, “I just had to do what I felt was right,” adding that love involves taking risks.

Two days following their December 2023 finale, she revealed on her Instagram Stories that their relationship had fallen apart due to several instances of infidelity. Later, Aven expressed regret and apologized to Kylee, acknowledging his mistakes and the pain he caused her by saying, “I have made major errors in the relationship and hurt someone very dear to me.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I couldn’t help but share my excitement about the way this season has unfolded! In an exclusive chat with TopMob News, Charity Lawson hinted at some big news that truly surpasses her August 2023 finale. Dotun Olubeko, a renowned integrative medicine specialist, got down on one knee and expressed his heartfelt feelings, asking the child and family therapist, “Will you make this fairytale come true by accepting my proposal?”

Though their wedding bells haven’t rung just yet—they’re contemplating a 2025 or 2026 ceremony—first things first! Charity will grace the stage on Dancing With the Stars before anything else. When Dotun shared the exciting news with her during The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose, his words were nothing short of inspiring. “Baby,” he said, “I know you love to dance and have fun. We’ve talked about this amazing opportunity, and I am thrilled to tell you that you’re going to be on Dancing With the Stars! Let’s do this!

Zach will have his fairytale conclusion. Although there were a few hiccups during the Fantasy Suite, Zach Shallcross concluded season 27 in March 2023 on bended knee. “I am so in love with you,” he confessed to travel nurse Kaity Biggar. “You are my world. The love I feel for you is something I could have never imagined.”

In July 2023, the pair from Texas took another significant stride, as Kaity posted on Instagram, “Now officially living together.” They’re currently preparing for their October 2025 wedding vows.

Originally, Danielle Maltby and Michael Allio from ‘Bachelor Nation’, who appeared on Nick Viall’s season and had a shared 7-year-old son named James, seemed to be destined for a romantic relationship. However, after Danielle moved from Nashville to Ohio to be with Michael, they announced their split. Michael discussed the breakup in detail during an episode of Jason Tartick’s ‘Trading Secrets’ podcast in September 2023. He stated that although both had invested significantly into the relationship, it was heartbreaking when it didn’t work out. When relationships fail, and you realize that love is present but compatibility isn’t, one grieves not just the loss of the person and friend, but also the future that was once imagined together.

Brandon Jones declared his everlasting affection for Serene Russell during their proposal on season seven of ‘Paradise’. Regrettably, their story didn’t continue as planned. Just five months after the engagement aired, in May 2023, they shared that they had parted ways. In an Instagram post, they explained that dealing with their relationship under public scrutiny was incredibly tough. “We have tried to work on our relationship behind closed doors,” they wrote, “but it has been extremely difficult given the attention we’ve received. We are both in a lot of pain and can only ask for understanding and kindness.

The relationship between pilot Rachel and contractor Tino Franco faced a halt due to an incident where he kissed another woman during their 2022 season broadcast. On “The Viall Files”, Tino expressed regret, stating, “I in no way support what I did. It was not right, it wasn’t fair to Rachel, and it continues to weigh on me heavily every day. It’s something I’m deeply ashamed of and would give countless chances to change the outcome.

The story unfolded as follows: Status: Split

Indeed, it was quite a ride! Susie Evans, initially turned down Bachelor Clayton Echard‘s proposals during the 2022 finale, but later reconnected with him off-screen. However, their journey didn’t last as they parted ways six months later.

Despite this, the L.A.-based videographer emphasizes that their separation was necessary. In a November 2022 blog post on “Susie Was Like,” she wrote, “I could sense that my radiance had faded and I wasn’t flourishing as I should.” She admitted they experienced many happy moments together, but deep down, she felt troubled and out of sync with her true self.

After dating Justin Glaze, a contestant from Bachelor Nation, Susie later disclosed that their relationship had ended in August 2024 as well.

Minnesota elementary school teacher Michelle received a Neil Lane sparkler from Texas-based sales executive Nayte Olukoya, along with a $200,000 check for their future home from producers. However, the couple’s relationship didn’t work out as planned, and they announced their breakup six months after their season finale aired in December 2021.

Nayte had mentioned on The Viall Files that there were numerous highs and lows, plenty of disagreements, and fights, stating that they weren’t seeing eye-to-eye. He also admitted that not having an in-person conversation to officially end their relationship was “impolite.”

Michelle started dating Jack Leius in 2023 and revealed their engagement the following year.

The duo from BIP season seven, Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian, captivated viewers with their shared vision of blissful Sunday mornings. However, they were only able to spend a small number of weekends together before parting ways. In a joint statement released in January 2022, their coordinator Maurissa (who had previously dated Peter Weber) and attorney Riley (one of Tayshia Adams’ suitors), explained that they have decided to go separate ways. They never anticipated this outcome, but have come to a point where they both require time for personal growth.

Status: Split

The first same-sex couple in Bachelor Nation became engaged during the sixth season of “Bachelor in Paradise”, but they officially separated in October 2019, announcing it on Halloween.

In simpler terms, they stated on Instagram that love and concern for each other have always been the foundation of their relationship. Their main focus has always been doing what’s best for them as a couple. With hearts heavy with love, they’ve made the difficult decision to step back from their relationship. They aim for what is ultimately beneficial in the long term, and at this moment, that means growing separately.

Status: Engaged

However, paradise lost isn’t entirely accurate. Though Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer parted ways during the seventh season of the BIP, they found something extraordinary in each other’s gaze that transcends time. Initially residing in San Diego, the travel nurse (a contestant for Tayshia’s affection) and the financial manager (who received Matt James’ first impression rose) recently invested in a home in his hometown of Tulsa.

“Preparing to enter our Chip and Joanna Gaines era because my girl bought her very first house!!!” Abigail shared on Instagram in July 2023. “Looking forward to starting our new chapter and all the cherished memories we’ll create here!!” Their journey began with some wedding plans. Prior to their relocation, Noah proposed at a San Diego beachfront home in August 2023.

Before their grand wedding in September 2023, Serena Pitt (a finalist from Matt James’ season) and Joe Amabile (the Chicago grocery store owner who gained fame after Becca Kufrin sent him home on the first night in 2018) thought it would be a good idea to practice. So, they decided to tie the knot for real at City Hall, which is close to their New York City residence, about a year after leaving Bachelor in Paradise engaged.

“JUST MARRIED!!!” Serena, now co-hosting the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast with her husband, wrote in an October 2022 video caption. “We’re still having a wedding in September, but who doesn’t want to get married twice?

Kenny Braasch, a boy band manager, expressed his deep affection for Mari Pepin as he placed a Neil Lane diamond ring on her finger during the finale of Paradise in 2021. He said, “I am absolutely head over heels in love with you,” and added, “I can’t imagine my life without you.” The Maryland beauty queen who initially captured Bachelor Matt’s heart, later moved to Kenny’s hometown, Chicago. After their engagement on the show, they got married in an oceanfront ceremony in Puerto Rico in November 2023, following a 65-guest wedding. Before their wedding, they made their love everlasting by getting matching tattoos during a trip to the Bahamas in May 2023.

Previously known Bachelorette Becca and Thomas Jacobs, one of Katie Thurston’s suitors, found each other during season seven of Bachelor in Paradise in 2021. They broke up on the show, but rekindled their relationship after filming ended. In May 2022, they revealed they were engaged, with Becca taking the initiative to propose. As she expressed to TopMob News, “I hope that others can now feel empowered and understand it’s acceptable to bend the rules.” Thomas reciprocated her sentiment in October of the same year. In September 2023, they welcomed their first child, a son named Benson. Becca shared on Instagram, “Words cannot express the love and wonder we have for this tiny man.”

Just a few weeks after welcoming Benson, the couple decided to tie the knot in an impromptu October 13 ceremony.

In the final episode of season 17 of “The Bachelorette” in 2021, Katie became engaged to Blake Moynes. Their affection for each other was first revealed during their overnight date, which included a paintball adventure, a cowboy bath, and a heart-to-heart under the night sky.

Lowering himself onto a knee, Blake expressed to Katie, “You’re worthy of all the wonders the world has to offer, and I’m thrilled to stand by your side and be your daily companion from now on.

Three months following the broadcast of their proposal, the pair revealed they were separating. In identical statements, they expressed, “We are deeply appreciative for the precious moments we experienced together and the extraordinary journey we embarked on this past year. However, we have determined that we aren’t suited as life partners, and it is the kindest decision for us to progress separately.”

Now, she is set to wed comedian Jeff Arcuri.

Current Status: Separated
Since Matt and graphic designer Rachael Kirkconnell parted ways during his 2021 season (following a temporary split and subsequent reconciliation), they have been plagued by rumors of breakups.

As Matt told TopMob News at a Baskin-Robbins event on July 18, “Everyone should take a break from social media. Our lives are so intertwined with our phones that when anyone takes a break, people think it’s the end of the world.”

Despite this, Matt stated in May 2022 that marriage remains their ultimate goal. “We go at our own pace,” he said. “And you’ve seen with other couples—they rush into engagements and they’re not together anymore. So, I think what we have is a proven formula, and we’ll get there.”

However, less than three years later, Matt announced that he and Rachael had separated.

“Father God, give Rachael and me strength to mend our broken hearts,” the reality star wrote on Instagram on January 16, 2025. “Give us a peace about this decision to end our relationship that goes beyond human understanding. Shower our friends and family with kindness and love to comfort us. And remind us that our joy comes from you, Lord.

Following her replacement for Clare Crawley’s 2020 season of “The Bachelorette”, Tayshia got romantically involved with Zac Clark. Despite leaving the show as an engaged couple, Tayshia admitted to having faced some turbulence in their relationship. The ups and downs were a part of their journey together, as she transitioned from being the Bachelorette herself to sharing hosting duties.

Being in a new relationship and then taking off for a few weeks can be tricky, right? And I’m being straightforward when I say this,” she expressed on the The Ben and Ashley I. Almost Famous podcast in August 2021.

She went on to say, “It seemed as if after that point, it felt necessary for us to recall why we were together. And I believe that such a sentiment is entirely typical.” However, in November 2021, TopMob News reported that they had decided to part ways.

Status: Split

During season 16 of ‘The Bachelorette’, Clare became deeply smitten with Dale Moss. Intriguingly, they got engaged by the fourth episode itself. However, their romance didn’t have a fairy tale ending as weeks after Clare’s departure, Tayshia found her own fiancé. Interestingly, Dale announced on social media that his love story with the hairdresser had ended even before that.

Approximately a month later, whispers of reconciliation circulated when they were seen together again. Fast-forwarding to July 2021, after multiple reunions, Clare and Dale had reconciled completely – with a ring on it. However, in September of the same year, they parted ways once more. Currently, Clare is blissfully married to Ryan Dawkins and they are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child together.

Following a short courtship with Hannah Ann Sluss, who won his heart initially, and later a breakup with Madison Prewett, the runner-up, fans rooted for Peter to find lasting love on his third attempt. Unfortunately, his romantic endeavor with Kelley Flanagan, a prominent figure from The Bachelor season 24, did not work out as planned. On New Year’s Eve in 2020, the pilot announced that their nine-month relationship had come to an end.

Pete shared on Instagram that although our relationship was rich with many cherished moments, ultimately it didn’t succeed as planned. However, Kelley remains someone I hold a unique affection for.

In 2022, they made another attempt at flying again, but in May of this year, they disclosed that their relationship had come to an end.

Status: Split

After the intense conclusion in 2020, the pair shared on Instagram they were ending their relationship. In essence, Peter stated, “Madi and I have decided independently that we won’t move forward with our romance any longer.” Though it wasn’t easy for either of us to accept, following extensive heartfelt discussions, we both concurred that this decision serves our best interests. The affection and regard I feel for Madi will remain steadfast.

In her declaration, Madi mentioned, “I’ll forever cherish and honor him. I firmly believe that our lives were destined to intersect, making us both richer for the encounter.

Status: Split

During The Bachelor’s Season 24, I found myself in a brief engagement with Peter and Hannah Ann. However, our bliss turned sour when we reached the finale’s second part, revealing that we faced challenges just a month into our exclusive relationship. More precisely, the news of Peter’s unresolved feelings for Madison left Hannah Ann taken aback.

She said, “All along, all I wanted was for someone to offer their entire love as I was giving mine. And you ended our first engagement,” she lamented, returning the ring. “You took that from me. You did it because I trusted you, and that’s what you have always asked of me – ‘Have faith in me. Be patient with me.’
