Here is an overview of the game, via Dear Villagers:
At the 2024 Summer Games Festival, the heartwarming tale of Deer & Boy was initially unveiled. This story follows a young boy on his journey away from home, who ends up losing his way and discovering a scared deer in the process. Realizing their mutual need for companionship to navigate life’s hardships, they form an unlikely bond that proves stronger than they ever imagined. Their chance friendship carries them farther than either of them dared to hope.
In their shared journey to flee their respective struggles, the young deer grows strong, offering the boy the courage he needs to confront the challenges of his destiny. Eventually, they both emerge from this surreal adventure as adults.
In their debut endeavor, Lifeline Game Studio – led by seasoned developer Jayson Houdet – is setting out to create a profoundly emotional experience. By blending the evocative imagery of animation with a deep bond between characters and narrative found in video games, they aim to narrate a story that resonates on a personal level.
