As an avid gaming enthusiast, I’m eagerly anticipating the console release of Delta Force, which has been primarily available on PC for the past year. The shooter genre is currently bustling with heavyweights like Call of Duty and Battlefield, but it’s also teeming with smaller developers who are carving their own niches with tailored experiences.
Call of Duty has a wide-reaching appeal due to its captivating campaigns, diverse multiplayer modes, and co-op features like Zombies. However, games such as Arma Reforger have emerged to cater specifically to the hardcore audience yearning for a more authentic military simulation experience, both on console and PC.
Later this summer, gamers will have the chance to play “Ready or Not” not just on their PCs but also on Xbox and PS5, as it was initially only available for PC exclusively for years. This game places you in the role of a SWAT team member, enabling you to collaborate with some friends for tactical raids on compounds and homes. It appears that another popular PC shooter, “Delta Force”, which has similarities to Battlefield, is soon to hit consoles as well. Last year, it was successfully launched in a free-to-play version on PC, and it’s been a favorite among players ever since.
Delta Force Console Release May Be Imminent
As a die-hard fan, I’m buzzing with anticipation as the console release of Delta Force might be just around the corner, heralding a fresh wave of content. The official Delta Force Twitter account dropped some tantalizing hints by posting PlayStation symbols and Xbox’s ABXY buttons, leaving us all guessing. It certainly feels like they’re setting the stage for a simultaneous launch on both platforms real soon. While no formal announcement has been made yet, it’s hard not to speculate that this is what they’re hinting at!

If things go as expected, the launch might follow soon after the announcement, considering it’s Call of Duty season. It could prove risky to introduce a new shooter during that period on consoles. Therefore, there’s a possibility that the release date for consoles is imminent or just around the corner, offering players a fresh game to enjoy this summer.
It’s quite probable that the game will remain free-to-play on consoles, filling in for Battlefield fans who may have been disappointed with Battlefield 2042. While Battlefield 6 is expected to release within the next year and potentially restore the series to its former success, there’s a possibility that Delta Force could come out ahead of it and provide an engaging large-scale multiplayer shooter on consoles beforehand.
