It’s nearly time for the release of Deltarune Chapter 5, with the chapter’s announcement coming during the recent Nintendo Direct.

Following on from Undertale, Toby Fox’s latest addition to the hit RPG is set to arrive as a free update for players who have already bought the game.

When is the Deltarune Chapter 5 release date?

Deltarune Chapter 5 is scheduled to release on 24 June 2026.

Like previous chapters, it will be available for free to players who have already purchased the game.

As developer Toby Fox previously clarified, “You only have to buy the game once – upcoming Chapters will be added as free updates.”

While the announcement came as part of a Nintendo Direct stream, Chapter 5 will be launching on the same date on all other platforms.

What to expect from Deltarune Chapter 5

Based on the trailer, there’s not a huge amount we can say about what’s going to happen in Deltarune Chapter 5, beyond that it will take place during the festival mentioned in previous chapters.

Based on what fans are guessing, the ‘Dark World’ will likely be set in Asgore’s flower shop and filled with enemies that have a floral theme.

Furthermore, the description of the trailer also reads, “New adventures are blooming in Deltarune Chapter 5.” If that isn’t a confirmation, then I don’t know what is.

Following the dark tone of Chapter 4, the visuals and tone of what we’ve seen thus far of Chapter 5 seem rather lighter and more upbeat.

We should also encounter the fifth and final Shadow Crystal during this chapter.

Of course, a lot of this is just guessing. As the trailer shows, Toby Fox isn’t revealing much about the game right now, so we’ll likely have to wait for the release to find out more.
