DeMarcus Lawrence Had Plan If Pregnant Wife Gave Birth at Super Bowl

DeMarcus Lawrence‘s wife was determined to be at Super Bowl 2026 on February 8th to support her husband as he played against the New England Patriots. However, she was 37 weeks pregnant with their sixth child, which added a bit of worry to the situation.

That’s why DeMarcus and Sasha made a plan in case Sasha went into labor while they were at the big game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

During the championship game, broadcaster Kaylee Hartung shared that DeMarcus and his teammates had a serious discussion about a potential emergency: what would happen if his wife went into labor during the game. According to Hartung, his teammates pointed out that while opportunities to play in the Super Bowl don’t come often, it’s always possible to have another child.

So, DeMarcus made a very tough decision.

Kaylee let me in on something pretty personal – DeMarcus told her he doesn’t want to be notified if Sasha goes into labor. Apparently, it was Sasha’s decision, and he told her he just couldn’t be there today, whatever she needed to do. It’s a really unusual situation, and shows how they’re navigating this pregnancy with very specific boundaries.

The upcoming 2026 Super Bowl will be a first for the 33-year-old player, marking his debut attempt to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy. This season also represents a new chapter, as he’s playing for the Seahawks after a decade with the Dallas Cowboys (2014-2024).

The linebacker’s recent success has been shared with his wife, Sasha, whom he married in Dallas in 2019. Together, they have a son named Damari and two daughters. Sasha also has two children, Mariah and Kal-El, from a previous relationship, as reported by People magazine.
