Okay, so Resolution Games just dropped a pretty cool update for Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked! They added a Warlock class – I’m definitely gonna try that out – and a new ‘One Shot’ adventure. They also added support for more languages, which is awesome for my international friends. One thing to note, though, they took out the hirelings, so you’ll need to adjust your strategy a bit. Overall, it sounds like a solid update!
Resolution Games announced an update to Battlemarked that adds a new character class, the Warlock, focused on strategic risk and exciting gameplay. According to CEO Tommy Palm, the update also includes more language options, allowing players worldwide to join the adventure. The goal is to enhance the immersive fantasy experience, give players more control, and continue developing Battlemarked as a dynamic world shaped by its community.
Here is an overview of the update, via Resolution Games:
- A New Hero Emerges Among a Frozen Side Quest – With this update, Azruss Drevontir joins Battlemarked as a fully playable Warlock hero, wielding eldritch magic born of infernal promise. His class-based deck unleashes devastating pact-bound spells, battlefield manipulation, and volatile power that rewards bold strategy and precise coordination. Complete this side quest, and the Warlock becomes permanently unlocked—ready to join your party immediately in future campaigns and adventures.
- “Auril’s Cradle” One Shot – From the depths of winter’s cruelty and adding to the adventure, this update also introduces “Auril’s Cradle” as a new One Shot experience. Now available as a standalone One Shot for players who have unlocked Ythryn in the second campaign, this adventure offers a punishing test of tactical mastery. Designed to stand among the more formidable trials in Battlemarked, “Auril’s Cradle” launches without selectable difficulty modes—though additional difficulty options will arrive in a future update. Yet even without scaling modifiers, the shifting threats and strategic demands of this One Shot offer immense replayability. Each descent into the frostbound crucible presents new risks, new decisions, and new opportunities for glory—or defeat. For new players—or veterans replaying the second campaign—clearing “Auril’s Cradle” within the campaign will unlock the One Shot version for future standalone play.
- The Realms Expand: New Language Support – The call to adventure now echoes farther than ever. In today’s update, Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked now supports Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional). These additions make it easier than ever for friends around the world to gather their party, strategize, and step into the Dungeons & Dragons universe together.
- Phase 2: Hirelings Redesign – Following on to the two-phase hirelings redesign announcement as a result of player feedback, today’s update marks Phase 2 of Battlemarked‘s hero system redesign, delivering one of the most significant gameplay evolutions yet: hirelings have been fully removed from the game. Moving forward, the only heroes in play are heroes created by players themselves. This shift ensures that every hero at the table is player-driven, reinforcing Battlemarked‘s focus on co-operative strategy, meaningful decision-making, and the shared thrill of overcoming impossible odds together.
You can now play Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked on PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR2, PC, SteamVR, and Meta Quest.
