Demi Lovato is feeling confident about how she’ll spend her first Christmas after getting married.

Just five months after marrying singer Jordan “Jutes” Lutes in California, singer Demi Lovato revealed their adorable holiday plans.

Demi shared with TopMob News’ Erin Lim Rhodes at the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala that she’s most excited to spend time with family during the holidays. A cherished tradition is baking and decorating sugar cookies together on Christmas Eve, and she’s really looking forward to it this year.

She has a lot to be happy about beyond the holidays. Her ninth studio album, It’s Not That Deep, came out in October and has been very successful, quickly climbing the music charts.

And when it comes to her “really carefree” and “happy” tracks, it’s simply her art echoing life. 

She shared that she’s feeling really happy with where she is in life and wants to express that joy through her music.

Demi has spoken before about how her relationship with Jutes, which began in 2022, has been a source of both personal and musical inspiration.

She explained to Paper Magazine in a September 15th interview that her current work reflects her personal growth. She’s in a good place and doesn’t feel the need to express intense emotions or past traumas through her music anymore.

Demi explained that she initially wrote songs for her album about difficult subjects, but they didn’t feel right, so she changed her approach.

She described feeling really positive and free right now, explaining that she recently got married. Making this album was a new experience because she usually writes about what she already knows, but this time she had to explore new emotions and experiences. She wanted the album to capture her newfound lightness and joy in life.
