Max Ehrich is facing some legal trouble.
Actor Max Ehrich, who was previously engaged to Demi Lovato in 2020, was arrested in St. Lucie County, Florida, on October 8th for domestic violence, according to public records.
On October 8th, Ehrich was arrested and charged with battery against a senior citizen at the St. Lucie County jail. He was released later that afternoon at 2:30 p.m. after posting a $1000 bond. Records also show he was taken into custody under the Leo Baker Act, a Florida law allowing for temporary psychiatric evaluation, according to the St. Lucie County online booking records.
TopMob News has attempted to reach an attorney for Ehrich but has not yet heard back.
Oh my god, the day before they took him, it was *so* telling. He was posting like crazy on Instagram – eight times! And it wasn’t just pictures, it was these sad little notes he typed out, saying he was single. Then, he posted this picture with the frowny face and just… “My heart is broken.” It was like he *knew* something was about to happen, and he was just letting it all out. It broke my heart seeing it, honestly. I should have known something was wrong…
Following his post on October 7th, Ehrich asked his followers to send money to his mother, Rhonda Ehrich, using Zelle.
Besides playing Fenmore Baldwin on *Young and Restless*, Ehrich also appeared as a dancer in *High School Musical 3: Senior Year*. But fans were surprised when he and Lovato started playfully interacting on social media in the spring of 2020.
After several months, the couple publicly announced they were dating and were staying together during the strict lockdowns of the COVID-19 pandemic. They got engaged in July 2020.
In their engagement announcement, Lovato shared that they fell in love with Max Ehrich immediately upon meeting him. They described it as a feeling impossible to explain to others, but thankfully, Ehrich felt the same way.
Despite the relationship ending in September, Lovato—who later married Jordan “Jutes” Lutes in May—shared nine months after the split, at a virtual summit hosted by The 19th Represents, that the breakup was ultimately a positive turning point, allowing for personal growth. She stated it was “probably the best thing that’s happened to me.”
