In the captivating realm of “Demon Slayer”, an abundance of peculiar and extravagant characters reside. However, it’s fair to acknowledge that certain personalities can be more grating than others. While Tanjiro has won the hearts of many viewers, and several Hashiras have garnered dedicated fanbases, a classic character from “Demon Slayer” has received its share of criticism within the fandom. As “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle” sets foot in US cinemas on September 12th, this particular character is receiving renewed attention in the movie’s latest promotional materials, prior to its official US premiere.
Alongside the continual flood of promotions for Infinity Castle, studio Ufotable additionally shares fresh birthday artworks for Demon Slayer characters, with Zenitsu being the latest character to be honored. This artwork was unveiled on the official Demon Slayer website and presents a cute, diminutive illustration of Zenitsu Agatsuma, standing in front of a field of flowers. His attire is influenced by his hair color and use of thunder breathing, with similarly hued orange, yellow, and white flowers decorating the backdrop.
Can Zenitsu Be Redeemed in Infinity Castle?

The highly anticipated film “Infinity Castle” marks the conclusion of the “Demon Slayer” series as it initiates a new trilogy, wrapping up Ufotable’s anime adaptation. Although it premiered in Japan in July, US viewers will only get to see it in September. Besides showcasing spectacularly animated battles, fans eagerly anticipate that the first “Infinity Castle” movie may provide Zenitsu, often criticized as the most irritating character in the series, with a much-needed redemption.
In my observation, when Zenitsu gets focused, he becomes a formidable asset by Tanjiro’s side, boasting an immense strength. However, 99% of the time, he tends to whine, complain, and show profound fear towards the demons he was trained to vanquish. Initially, his cowardly demeanor served as comedic relief, but with no character development providing him a way out of this timid state, it has persisted. Over time, this aspect has been somewhat wearisome for viewers.
Alongside the unveiling of a fresh poster for “Infinity Castle,” featuring Zenitsu engaged fiercely in combat against Upper Rank Six demon, Kaigaku, the new artwork has been made public. Notably, unlike his usual fighting style when asleep, Zenitsu’s eyes are wide open in this poster, hinting that perhaps he might conquer his fear during the movie.
