As a huge Demon Slayer fan, I’m so excited to share some amazing news! Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle was a massive hit in theaters last year, and if you missed it – or just want to experience it again – you’re in luck! Ufotable hasn’t announced a streaming date yet, but Crunchyroll just announced the movie is coming back to U.S. theaters soon! You can actually reserve your tickets now, which is fantastic news for all of us who want to see Tanjiro and the Hashira’s latest battle on the big screen!
Crunchyroll announced that Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is coming back to theaters on March 6th. Fans will be able to experience the popular anime film in a new way thanks to SCREENX, a unique cinema format with a 270-degree immersive screen. Both the original Japanese audio and the English dub will be available, and it will be exciting to see how much more Demon Slayer earns at the box office.
Demon Slayer’s Meteoric Rise

When Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle was first released in Japan last year, it quickly became one of the year’s biggest box office hits, ranking as the seventh highest-grossing film of 2025 overall – including all animated and live-action movies. This demonstrates the growing popularity of anime. The film is also now the most successful international movie ever released in Western markets, surpassing even Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in total earnings. It’s currently unknown how long it will remain in theaters, but fans have another opportunity to experience it on the big screen.
The popular anime Demon Slayer is planned to conclude with two upcoming movies. While fans are eager to learn when these final films will be released, official dates and titles haven’t been announced yet. Rumors suggested release years of 2027 and 2029, but Crunchyroll has confirmed that information is incorrect and they will reveal the release schedule in the future.
The original Demon Slayer manga finished several years ago, so if you don’t want to wait for the last two movies, you can already find the complete story. So far, the creator, Koyoharu Gotouge, hasn’t announced any plans for a sequel or spin-off, making fans question whether Tanjiro and his friends will appear in future stories, considering how popular the series has become.
