Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Reviews Arrive: “Rollercoaster of Emotions”

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” may not have graced North American theaters just yet, but the initial installment of the shonen series’ final chapter has made its debut on Japanese screens. With “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train” currently holding the record as the highest-grossing anime film ever at the box office, Infinity Castle is poised to dethrone its predecessor. However, Western Demon Slayer enthusiasts will need to exercise patience until September to catch the movie in cinemas. Meanwhile, Japanese fans of the Demon Slayer Corps have already watched the movie and are actively discussing their thoughts about this monumental film online.

I must say, I’m thoroughly captivated by “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle”. It’s not just the breathtaking animation from Ufotable that leaves me awestruck, but also its colossal runtime. Clocking in at a whopping 150 minutes, this trilogy could easily pass as an entire season if ever divided into individual episodes, much like “Mugen Train” was.

The buzz on social media about this masterpiece is deafening! Fans are raving that “Infinity Castle” is the best work Ufotable has ever produced, and describing it as the most visually stunning anime movie. The praises keep pouring in, and I couldn’t agree more! For a taste of what people are saying, take a peek at some reviews below.

Wow, Demon Slayer – Infinity Castle from ufotable is simply outstanding! The visuals are stunningly beautiful, and the fights between Zenitsu and Akaza have been the highlights of the series so far. Plus, Lisa & Aimer’s performances added an emotional depth that left me in tears. Definitely catch it on IMAX for a truly immersive experience!

Demon Slayer’s Infinity Castle Future

The first movie of the Demon Slayer trilogy is scheduled for release in Western theaters on September 12th, but Ufotable has been silent about the release dates of the remaining two films. So far, the studio hasn’t provided any information about when we might see these sequels, although fans are eagerly anticipating their arrival, hoping for a new movie each year. Since the original manga ended in 2020 and creator Koyoharu Gotouge hasn’t announced any follow-ups or spin-offs, the final film of the trilogy is likely to be the last anime focusing on the Demon Slayer Corps. If Ufotable stays true to the source material, the Demon Slayer series will undoubtedly conclude with a dramatic finish.

To get a better understanding of the storyline for “Infinity Castle”, check out this description from the official Demon Slayer website: During their group training program known as the Hashira Training, preparing for the upcoming battle against demons, Muzan Kibutsuji unexpectedly shows up at Ubuyashiki Mansion. As the leader of the Demon Corps is now in danger, Tanjiro and the Hashira quickly rush to the headquarters, only to be mysteriously transported to a hidden location by Muzan – the Infinity Castle, the stronghold of demons. Thus, the stage is set for the climactic battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons.
