The first movie in the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle series achieved a major milestone, becoming the first Japanese film to earn over 100 billion yen worldwide. It outperformed this year’s biggest Hollywood releases, including films from Marvel and DC, and continues to be popular in theaters, especially in Japan, months after its release. To celebrate its success, the animation studio Ufotable is hosting a special “cheering screening” in ten Japanese theaters. At these screenings, fans can freely cheer for their favorite characters and even bring along related merchandise.
Guests are welcome to bring glow sticks and penlights to enhance the lively atmosphere. However, this screening isn’t ideal for those hoping for a quiet movie experience, so fans should check the event guidelines before purchasing tickets. You can find all the details, including a special video from Aniplex, on the anime’s official website and their YouTube channel. Currently, there are no plans for a similar event in U.S. theaters, and it doesn’t seem likely to happen.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 Might Take Longer Than Expected

Although the movie first came out in Japan in July, it wasn’t released worldwide until September, and we still haven’t heard anything about a sequel. The creators of Demon Slayer haven’t revealed how they plan to adapt the final story arc, called the Sunrise Countdown Arc, until the current arc, the Infinity Castle Arc, is finished. Fans can expect news at Jump Festa 2026, where the franchise will have a special presentation alongside other popular action series like One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, and My Hero Academia.
Even the official Jump Festa website, which usually hints at big news for popular series, hasn’t said anything about a new Demon Slayer announcement. It only confirms the anime will have a stage event featuring the voice actors from the film – Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado), Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu Agatsuma), Takahiro Sakurai (Giyu Tomioka), and Saori Hayami (Shinobu Kocho). The first film was just the beginning, and the battles are set to become even more intense.
Muzan Kibutsuji has imprisoned all the Demon Slayers within the inescapable Infinity Castle, leaving them with no option but to battle the powerful demons guarding the way. The next installment will continue this intense conflict, showcasing more thrilling fights as the Demon Slayers fight desperately to reach Muzan.
