The initial film in the “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” movie series, set to debut on July 18, 2025, in Japanese cinemas, has at last revealed its long-awaited first trailer. This trailer showcases the epic final confrontation between the demon slayers and the demons, hinting at a full-scale conflict. Many significant antagonists are featured, including the formidable Upper Moon demons. Among them, two characters particularly grab attention: Upper Rank 2, Doma, and the beloved Upper Rank 3, Akaza.
The teaser reveals that a large part of the initial film concentrates on two potent demons and their fierce encounters. Simultaneously, it highlights important characters like Giyu Tomioka and Shinobu Kocho, giving them the attention they deserve. Interestingly, the lead character, Tanjiro Kamado, becomes even more prominent. However, other Hashira members won’t be neglected, as hinted by the appearance of another beloved character, the young prodigy Muichiro Tokito. Tokito, whose role in the third season of
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle First Trailer Hints at Muichiro’s Final Battle

Muichiro, one of the strongest Hashira, might be among the top five, making his participation in the final war crucial. Yet, the initial trailer doesn’t seem to depict him battling any demons, especially the Upper Moons, indicating that his fight is likely saved for a later stage. It seems plausible that he will face an Upper Moon whose power might even surpass Doma and Akaza.
It’s evident that not every battle will be shown in the first part of the trilogy. If Muichiro is indeed destined to fight Upper Moon Rank One, Kokushibo, this encounter could happen only after the victories over Akaza and Doma, potentially towards the end of the second movie.
It’s clear that Muichiro won’t fight Kokushibo on his own due to the need for assistance in defeating Upper Moon Rank Four. Given Kokushibo’s immense power as a Rank One demon, taking him on alone would be impossible for Muichiro. Instead, it seems likely that other powerful Hashira, particularly Gyomei Himejima, the strongest among them, will join the battle. Other Hashira like the Wind, Snake, and Love Hashira, who have yet to engage with any opponent in the trailer, may also participate. So while we get a glimpse of Muichiro in the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle trailer, his main role might not be fully revealed until the second installment.
