The animated movie “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” has started showing in theaters all over Japan since last weekend, and to mark this occasion, a fresh glimpse at Shinobu Kocho’s ultimate battle has been unveiled. Fans of “Demon Slayer” have eagerly awaited the anime’s resurgence, as the Hashira Training arc laid the foundation for the climactic confrontations between the Hashira and Muzan Kibutsuji’s last demonic troops. The high demand for this film in Japan was so intense that tickets for its opening screenings were sold out within minutes. Given Shinobu’s impending battle, it’s hardly a shocker.
While fans of Demon Slayer have witnessed a glimpse of Shinobu’s field combat in the first season of the TV anime, the Insect Hashira has primarily functioned as a supporter for Tanjiro Kamado and others throughout the series. However, she will be participating more actively in battles during Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle. A new trailer for the upcoming film offers fresh insights into her impending fight against Upper Rank Two, Doma.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Features Shinobu vs. Doma
In the upcoming “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle,” it was suggested that Shinobu would engage in combat with Doma, as hinted in earlier promotional content. However, the latest trailer unveils more about their battle. A snippet of what Shinobu utters before the fight sets the stage for a significant event for the Hashira, “This one is the demon who murdered my elder sister.” Given that Shinobu had previously alluded to this death in the anime’s history, it appears that this long-standing conflict will reach its climax in the new film.
In this pivotal moment for Shinobu, who has spent years observing from the sidelines, she finds herself facing one of Muzan’s strongest demons in an epic battle. While we’ve only glimpsed Doma a few times, his significance lies in the fact that he was the one who transformed Daki and Gyutaro into demons, and he surpasses Akaza in strength. Given these factors, his entrance into combat becomes even more intimidating. With so much at stake, fans will be on edge, hoping Shinobu manages to survive this ordeal.
