The animated film “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” is currently dominating the charts in Japan, with a strong possibility of surpassing its predecessor, “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train,” to become the highest-grossing anime movie ever. Scheduled for release in North America on September 12th, this shonen series is marking the beginning of the grand finale trilogy that will conclude the story of the Hashira characters. In the upcoming film, Zenitsu is expected to face a particularly significant battle, and animation studio Ufotable is commemorating both the movie’s release and Zenitsu’s birthday with special celebrations.
Infinity Castle. The upcoming event focused on Zenitsu is scheduled to start in Japan on September 3rd, and the franchise plans to make adjustments to the theater for the occasion.
The anime series announces that there will be a special birthday screening event for Agatsuma Zenitsu on September 3rd at TOHO Cinemas Ikebukuro. Besides a personal greeting from Zenitsu himself, the event will feature a theater with seats draped in Zenitsu’s covers.

Infinity Castle’s Climb to The Top
Presently, at the time this piece was penned, “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” has grossed more than $230 million USD at the box office, and that’s before it hits Western cinemas. Interestingly, “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train” made a staggering $480 million USD throughout its entire run, which means the latest installment needs to achieve even greater success to surpass the first film. Fortunately for fans, the “Demon Slayer” series has two more chances to outdo the Mugen Train, as two further films have been announced to conclude Tanjiro and his companions’ narrative. However, specific release dates for these upcoming movies remain unconfirmed at present.
The Demon Slayer franchise, with its captivating storyline, has soared to unprecedented heights, even surpassing the venerable One Piece on occasion, a feat made all the more remarkable considering the Hashira have had significantly less time to build their following. The series’ creator, Koyoharu Gotouge, concluded the story in 2020 and has yet to reveal any plans for a sequel or spin-off. While it is rare for popular anime franchises to cease production, Tanjiro and his fellow Demon Slayers may have reached their final chapter, and sometimes, that can be satisfactory.
