The anime film “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is dominating Japanese cinemas with its latest release, and the actor who portrays Tanjiro Kamado hinted at an upcoming major showdown in the upcoming series “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Cast“. The new “Demon Slayer” movie marks the beginning of a fresh trilogy based on the expansive Infinity Castle arc from Koyoharu Gotoge’s manga series, and it has been drawing massive crowds to Japanese theaters since its premiere last month. It has broken numerous records, and there’s no question why given how much excitement it has generated.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” is set to premiere internationally this Fall, and its team and cast recently appeared at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 weekend to share glimpses of the upcoming film. Notably, Tanjiro’s voice actor, Natsuki Hanae, was somewhat secretive about revealing specific details for the new movie but emphasized Tanjiro’s impending rematch with the Upper Three Akaza. This will be their first encounter since they crossed paths in the “Mugen Train” film.
Demon Slayer Star Teases Tanjiro’s Rematch
As I ponder over the newly unveiled poster for “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 (check it out above), I can’t help but speculate on what lies ahead in the movie. Could it be that Tanjiro is about to face off against Akaza? After all, he was rather powerless against him in Mugen Train. If so, it will surely be an awe-inspiring sight to witness how much Tanjiro has evolved since then.
Since the Mugen Train arc, Tanjiro has encountered numerous challenging adversaries without directly fighting Akaza due to his overpowering strength. However, witnessing Rengoku in action during that time could inspire Tanjiro to build up the power required to confront such formidable enemies. Additionally, it appears Giyu Tomioka may offer support as Tanjiro embarks on this power-building journey.
When Does Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Actually Come Out?
The anime movie “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” is set to premiere in the U.S. and Canada on September 12th, with ticket sales starting August 15th. You’ll be able to catch it in both regular and IMAX formats, with options for Japanese or English audio. This is the first film in a planned trilogy, and while details about future releases are still unknown at this point, the movie has been performing exceptionally well since its Japanese premiere.
The film “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” has surpassed the box office records set by “Mugen Train,” and as the first installment of a trilogy, fans are eagerly anticipating its collective success at the box office. There’s optimism that this anime franchise will continue to build momentum with each new movie released, culminating in a strong finish for the trilogy.
