Caution: Spoilers for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle lie ahead! The latest film of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has arrived in theaters, bringing Tanjiro Kamado a crucial power boost for the impending finale. This epic trilogy adaptation from Koyoharu Gotoge’s manga series takes us through the Infinity Castle arc, pitting Tanjiro and the surviving members of the Demon Slayer Corps against Muzan Kibutsuji’s demon horde within its vast walls. Not all will make it through until dawn.
In the anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle,” Tanjiro encounters Akaza again, leading to a fierce battle. Ever since Kyojuro Rengoku’s demise during the Mugen Train storyline, Tanjiro has been preparing to confront the Upper Three demons. Assisted by Water Hashira Giyu Tomioka, Tanjiro pushes his abilities to their maximum as he strives to reach a state called the “Transparent World” in order to counter Akaza’s blinding speed and concealed attacks.
Demon Slayer Powers Up Tanjiro With the Transparent World
In Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, as Tanjiro engages Akaza in combat, he notices that Akaza seems to thwart every attack they launch without seeming to react. It dawns on Tanjiro that Akaza appears to be anticipating their moves before they are even executed, and he ponders the secret behind this technique. Completely absorbed in the present moment, Tanjiro recalls a memory with his father and begins to piece together the puzzle.
In his later years, his father may have appeared frail and weak, yet he possessed an extraordinary strength – demonstrated by the swift strike that severed a bear’s head in one blow, ensuring the family’s safety. Recognizing this as a lesson for facing stronger adversaries, Tanjiro understood its significance. This revelation fueled an unprecedented level of concentration within him, immersing him in what he called the “Transparent World.” In this state, time seemed to stand still, enabling him to match Akaza’s formidable speed and power at that particular moment.
What Is the Transparent World in Demon Slayer?
In the movie, Tanjiro gains a unique insight called Transparent World, which enables him to scrutinize Akaza’s entire body in detail. This extraordinary ability allows him to detect even the tiniest muscle twitches as they happen. Remarkably, this new skill matches Akaza’s own combat abilities up until now, bridging the gap between their capabilities. It seems as if Tanjiro can see right through Akaza’s body, and it turns out to be precisely what he needed for his fight against him.
This skill is crucial for Tanjiro to ultimately sever Akaza’s head, bringing an end to their battle. Despite some lingering twitches suggesting that Akaza stubbornly refuses to perish (and even hinting at a potential transformation into a new form), the demon finds resolution for his past wounds due to this confrontation with Tanjiro. In his human days, Tanjiiro reminded Akaza of someone significant, explaining his intense animosity towards him. However, by the conclusion of this initial movie, these issues are all laid to rest. This boost in power could potentially equip Tanjiro to survive throughout the remainder of the trilogy.
