Marcia Cross is giving desperate fans a rare apple.
Marcia Cross, known for her role as Bree Van de Kamp on the popular TV show Desperate Housewives, usually shares posts about her work and causes she supports. But in a recent, unusual post, she gave fans a glimpse of what it’s like to travel with her, sharing a personal selfie.
Marcia shared a photo on Instagram on May 28th of herself smiling from her airplane seat. The 64-year-old was wearing glasses and a gray bucket hat with the word “peace” on it during her flight.
“Ok! This flight IS taking off!” she captioned the selfie. “See you soon!! #peace.”
The Melrose Place actress didn’t say exactly where she was going, but fans are thrilled at the possibility of seeing her soon. She’s joining several of her former Desperate Housewives colleagues – including Nicollete Sheridan, James Denton, and Brenda Strong – for The Desperate Con in Paris, France on May 30th and 31st.
Fans excitedly welcomed Marcia online, with one writing, “Can’t wait to see you! French people love you!” Another fan added, “Have a safe flight! See you there, and I’m so excited to meet you, Marcia!”
Marcia and her fellow actors will likely reminisce about their days on the popular, award-winning show Desperate Housewives at the upcoming fan event, but she has previously dismissed rumors of a possible revival.
In 2021, Marcia responded to a post on X (formerly Twitter) about a possible upcoming TV show, simply writing, “News to me!”

Marcia speaks fondly of her time playing Bree, but she’s hoping for another chance to play a truly memorable character again.
I’ve always held onto the hope that we’d revisit the world of Desperate Housewives for another chapter, but it just hasn’t happened yet. I was talking about it recently, and it struck me that being so closely tied to a beloved character is a double-edged sword. People will always see you as that person, and by the time enough time passes for them to move on, you’re often overlooked for new opportunities. It’s a strange thing to experience, honestly.

According to the You star, she feels that there aren’t as many women in their 60s on screen.
She described feeling stuck at a strange point in her career: she’s experienced and ready for more roles, but Hollywood doesn’t seem very interested. While the industry is starting to address LGBTQ+ representation and diversity with people of color, older women are still largely overlooked. She remembers when being a 40-year-old woman on the show DH felt groundbreaking, and now she wants to see 60-year-old women getting similar opportunities.

She described feeling stuck at a strange point in her career – experienced and capable, but not getting much attention from Hollywood. While the industry is starting to address issues of LGBTQ+ representation and diversity, she pointed out a frustrating blind spot: a reluctance to feature older women. She recalled that being a 40-year-old woman on the set of DH was considered significant, and now she hopes to see 60-year-old women getting similar opportunities.

Following the end of Desperate Housewives in 2012, Teri Hatcher continued to work in television and film, appearing in shows like The Odd Couple and Supergirl. She also lent her voice to the Disney animated films Planes and its sequel, Planes: Fire & Rescue.
A passionate cook, Hatcher won a celebrity episode of Chopped and later launched a YouTube channel called Hatching Change, featuring segments like “Van Therapy” and “Don’t Eat ‘It’ Out of a Box.
Throughout the years, there have been reports of disagreements between Hatcher and her Desperate Housewives co-stars. While Eva Longoria told Jimmy Kimmel in 2018 that they were “very good friends,” she clarified that didn’t include everyone on the show, stating that it was closer to ninety-nine percent of the cast.
In 2021, fans enjoyed a Desperate Housewives reunion when Hatcher starred alongside James Denton in the Hallmark Channel holiday movie A Kiss Before Christmas.

Felicity Huffman is known for her role as Lynette on the popular TV show, and she also starred in critically acclaimed series like American Crime, which earned her three Emmy nominations. She’s appeared in several other projects, including Get Shorty, When They See Us, Big Game, Cake, and Otherhood.
Her personal life became public news when she was caught up in a college admissions scandal in March 2019. The FBI and the U.S. Attorney General’s office charged dozens of parents, including Huffman, with cheating to get their children into college.
Huffman was accused of paying $15,000 for someone to take the SAT exam in place of her daughter, Sophia. She was arrested and charged with conspiracy and fraud, ultimately pleading guilty to honest services fraud. She was sentenced to 14 days in jail and served most of her time at a federal correctional facility in Dublin, California, being released a couple of days early due to the weekend.
Since her release, Huffman has largely stayed out of the public eye, but she has made a few television appearances in shows like The Good Doctor and Criminal Minds.

Eva Longoria, formerly known as Gabrielle Solis, has appeared in several films, including Lowriders, Overboard, and Dora and the City of Lost Gold. She’s also been in numerous TV shows like Telenovela, Only Murders in the Building, and Land of Women.
Beyond acting, Longoria has worked behind the scenes as an executive producer on shows like Devious Maids and Grand Hotel, both created by Marc Cherry, the creator of Desperate Housewives. She’s also become a successful director, having directed episodes of Jane the Virgin and Black-ish, and made her feature film directorial debut with the 2023 movie Flamin’ Hot.
Longoria is also known for her activism and business ventures. She is married to producer José Antonio “Pepe” Bastón Patiño, and they have a son, Santiago “Santi” Enrique Bastón, born in 2018.

Marcia Cross is best known for her role as Bree Van de Camp on Desperate Housewives, but she’s also appeared in several other shows including Quantico, Ned and Stacey, You, and Monarch.
In 2018, she publicly shared that she had successfully been treated for anal cancer. This came nine years after her husband, Tom Mahoney, was diagnosed with and recovered from throat cancer.
Cross and Mahoney are parents to twin daughters, Eden and Savannah, born in 2007.

Nicollette Sheridan, who played Edie Britt on the original series, was written off the show during its fifth season following reported conflicts with the producer, Cherry. This led to a $20 million lawsuit where Sheridan accused the producer and ABC of wrongful termination, assault, gender violence, discrimination (based on sex, sexual orientation, and age), and intentionally causing her emotional distress. The show’s other four female leads publicly supported the producer, and the initial trial ended without a verdict; Sheridan’s appeal was unsuccessful.
Since leaving the series, Sheridan has appeared in several Hallmark movies and had a short-lived role as Alexis Carrington on The CW’s Dynasty, leaving after 15 episodes of the second season.
Sheridan married Aaron Phypers in December 2015 but filed for divorce just seven months later. She was previously married to Harry Hamlin.

Following his role as Rex, Bree’s husband, in the first season of the show, Steven Culp appeared in several other television series, including Revolution, Bosch, The Last Ship, and The Resident. He also acted in films such as Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) as Congressman Wenham, and Collusions (2018) as Agent Robinson.
In 2006, Culp experienced a personal tragedy when his half-sister, Kathryn Harvey, her husband Bryan, and their daughters Stella and Ruby were murdered. Two men were convicted for the crime; Ricky Gray was executed in 2017, and Ray Dandridge is currently serving three life sentences without the possibility of parole.

I’ve been a fan of Ricardo Chavira ever since he played Carlos Solis on Desperate Housewives for eight seasons! It was great to see him land a regular role in Welcome to the Family after that, even though it didn’t last long. He’s consistently worked since then, popping up in shows I love like Scandal, Jane the Virgin, The Santa Clarita Diet, and Selena: The Series. I remember being really impressed when he spoke out after Felicity Huffman’s sentencing in the college admissions scandal back in 2019. He used his Twitter to honestly express his disappointment with the short sentence, and he rightly pointed out how her privilege likely played a huge role in the leniency she received. It takes courage to speak up like that, and I really respected him for it.

Mike Delfino, along with his wife Erin O’Brien and their children, Sheppard and Malin, recently relocated from Glendale, California, to Chanhassen, Minnesota. He’s best known for his starring role in the Hallmark Channel series The Good Witch, which is based on their popular movies. He’s also appeared in recurring roles on Devious Maids and as a guest star on NCIS: New Orleans. More recently, Denton has been in Christmas on Cherry Lane and The Real West.

Since playing Tom Scavo on Desperate Housewives for eight seasons, Savant has appeared in guest roles on popular TV shows like Criminal Minds, 9-1-1, Lucifer, and NCIS. He’s married to Laura Leighton, known for her work on Melrose Place, and they have two children together, Lucy and Jack. Savant also has two children, Arianna and Madeline, from a previous marriage to Dawn Savant.

Though best known as the voice of Mary Alice Young on Desperate Housewives, appearing often as the show’s narrator but rarely on screen, Brenda Strong has had a consistently active career since then. She played Ann Ewing in the 2012 revival of Dallas and later took on the role of Lillian Luthor, mother of Lex and Lena, on Supergirl. Strong has also appeared in several other popular shows, including 13 Reasons Why, Unprisoned, Scandal, and Fear the Walking Dead. She married director and actor John Farmanesh-Bocca in 2015, following her divorce from her first husband, Tom Henri, with whom she shares a son, Zakery.

I was so thrilled when Daniella De La Garza joined Desperate Housewives as Juanita, Gabrielle and Carlos’ daughter! I remember watching her grow up right before our eyes throughout the show, and it was amazing to see her all the way to the finale. It’s incredible how much she’s accomplished since then – she’s already been in films like Caged No More and Gnome Alone, and TV shows like Good Luck Charlie and Bad Teacher.
But it breaks my heart to hear her talk about the awful things people said about her appearance while she was on the show. She’s been so brave about sharing how those hateful comments led to her developing an eating disorder. In a recent podcast interview, she described reading comments telling her they wanted her to die because of how she looked – things like being called horrible names and wishing cancer upon her. And she was only 6, 7, or 8 years old at the time! It’s just devastating to think about, and I really admire her strength in speaking out.
She remembers first trying to starve herself when she was just seven years old. A lot of this stemmed from reading hurtful comments online, and she kept it a secret from her family, including her mother, being very careful to hide what she was doing.
In September 2024, she announced she was pregnant with Ryan Mitchell’s child. Tragically, their daughter, Xiomara, passed away later that month shortly after being born via emergency C-section, as the actress shared the following October.

Burgi, who played Susan’s ex-husband Karl Mayer, had an on-again, off-again role throughout the show’s run. He started as a guest star in season one, became a regular in season two, then went back to being a guest in seasons three and four. He reappeared as a recurring character in seasons five and six, and made another guest appearance in season eight. Since the show ended, Burgi has appeared in guest roles on shows like Hawaii Five-0, General Hospital, and Devious Maids. He’s also a father to two sons, Samuel and Jack.

Joanna Delany first turned down the part of Bree, but later joined the show in its fourth season as the intriguing Katherine Mayfair. She left after season six to lead the ABC series Body of Proof. After that show ended after three seasons, Delany went on to star in Hand of God and The Code. More recently, she’s appeared in Tulsa King, Mayans M.C., and O Hóspede Americano.

Bowen is known for her role as Julie on the TV show Desperate Housewives. After the show ended, she appeared in the comedy film G.B.F. and several made-for-TV movies like Hall Pass Nightmare, Psycho Sister-In-Law, and A Wedding Wonderland. She also continues to voice the character Aerith Gainsborough in English for video games including Final Fantasy Explorers, Mobius Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts III. Bowen is currently in a relationship with Josh Zuckerman, her Desperate Housewives co-star who played Eddie Orlofsky, also known as The Fairview Strangler.

Vanessa Williams is known for her roles in several TV shows, including her appearances as Renee Perry in the final seasons of Desperate Housewives, as well as 666 Park Avenue, Daytime Divas, The Good Wife, and The Librarians. She also starred in Ugly Betty, Velma, Girls5eva, and Tripped Up.
Beyond on-screen acting, Williams does voiceover work, notably as Ms. Brown in the M&M’s commercials and Captain Beakman on the animated series T.O.T.S.
She is a mother of four: Melanie, Jillian, and Devin, who she shares with her first husband, Ramon Hervey II, and Sasha, with her second husband, Rick Fox. Williams has been married three times, including to Jim Skrip, but later divorced him.

Actor Dylan Metcalfe first gained recognition for his role as John Rowland on the initial season of a popular show. He later appeared in the film John Tucker Must Die and the television series Dallas and Chesapeake Shores.
Metcalfe has also been candid about his personal struggles, including overcoming addiction. He described his journey to sobriety as a 20-year process, sharing in a February 2024 podcast interview that these challenges ultimately shaped him into the person he is today, fostering empathy and a deeper understanding of life, which he brings to both his work and relationships. He acknowledges it was a difficult path.
Currently, Metcalfe continues to act, with recent roles in Clear Cut and Divine Influencer, and is also pursuing a career in music.

Moses played the mysterious Paul Young, Mary Alice’s husband, during the first two seasons of the show and later returned as a regular cast member in season seven. Since the series ended, he’s been in films like Cesar Chavez, Bombshell, and Reagan. He’s also had roles in popular TV shows, including Mad Men as Duck Phillips, as well as Salvation, The Last Ship, Deputy, and Alaska Daily.

Besides playing Zach, Mary Alice’s son, Kasch has appeared in guest roles on popular TV shows like Law & Order: SVU, CSI, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. He’s also been in films including Chain Letter, The Last Rescue, Powder and Gold, and Normal, Ohio.

After playing Andrew, Bree’s son, for eight seasons, actor Pyfrom appeared in several other projects, including episodes of Rizzoli & Isles, the TV movie Killing Lincoln, and the films Hard Surfaces, Rudy’s Canvas, and A Deadly Price for Her Pretty Face.
Following the 2014 death of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Pyfrom revealed he had been sober for five months as of February of that year.
He shared on Tumblr that he felt a responsibility to speak openly about his own struggles, stating that he wouldn’t be able to live with himself if his story could have helped save someone but he hadn’t shared it, given how close he had come to losing his own life.

Kyle MacLachlan played Bree’s husband, Orson, on Desperate Housewives from seasons three to six, but left in 2010 because the frequent travel between New York City and the set became too difficult. He did, however, make guest appearances in the show’s final two seasons.
Since then, he’s been in several films, including voicing Riley’s dad in Inside Out, and appearing in The House with a Clock in Its Walls, Tesla, and Blink Twice. He’s also acted in TV shows like Portlandia and Agents of SHIELD. Notably, he reprised his iconic role as Dale Cooper in the 2017 revival of Twin Peaks on Showtime, earning a Golden Globe nomination for his performance.

Alfre Woodard became a familiar face after joining Desperate Housewives in its second season as Betty Applewhite. Since then, she’s appeared in several TV shows, including My Own Worst Enemy, Three Rivers, State of Affairs, and as the villain Mariah Stokes in Netflix’s Luke Cage. More recently, she’s starred in Apple TV+’s See and the animated series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. Woodard has also been in a number of films, such as Beauty Shop, The Family That Preys, 12 Years a Slave, Annabelle, The Lion King, and Salem’s Lot.

John McDonough has had a busy career since playing the unsettling Dave Williams in season five of a popular show. He’s since appeared in series like Agents of SHIELD, Justified, and Altered Carbon, and is well-known for his portrayal of the villain Damian Darhk in the Arrowverse.
He also appeared as Dum Dum Dugan in the Marvel film Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), and has been in movies like Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, Proud Mary, and Sonic the Hedgehog.
Married to Ruvé Robertson, McDonough is a father and a devout Catholic. He’s known for sticking to his religious beliefs, even if it means sacrificing roles – he says his faith led to him being fired from the lead role in the 2010 drama Scoundrels because he wouldn’t film certain scenes.

Drea de Matteo began her television career with roles on popular shows like Desperate Housewives and Sons of Anarchy, and also appeared in films such as Free Ride and Dark Places. She’s also had guest roles on The Mindy Project and Agents of SHIELD. From 2016 to 2018, she was a regular on the NBC police drama Shades of Blue and made recurring appearances on ABC’s A Million Little Things.
De Matteo and her longtime partner, Waylon Jennings, had two children, son Waylon Albert “Blackjack” Jennings (born in 2011) and daughter Alabama Gypsyrose Jennings (born in 2007), before ending their relationship. She later became engaged to musician Michael Devin, but they eventually separated. She is currently in a relationship with Robby Staebler.
Beyond acting, with recent credits including One Way and Collide, de Matteo has publicly discussed supplementing her income through the platform OnlyFans.

Following his five seasons playing Lee on Desperate Housewives, Rahm has appeared in several popular TV shows, including Mad Men, Bates Motel, Madam Secretary, Lethal Weapon, and Love, Victor. He’s also been in films such as Nightcrawler, Clinical, and The Oath. Shortly before Desperate Housewives ended, he married heart surgeon Amy Lonkar on April 28, 2012, and they later had a daughter in 2014.

After playing Bob, one half of the married gay couple on Wisteria Lane, Watkins has appeared as a guest star on shows like Parks and Recreation, Bob’s Burgers, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. He’s also been in series such as Black Monday, Uncoupled, and The Great North.
Watkins is also a stage actor, starring in the 2018 Broadway revival of The Boys in the Band and reprising his role as Hank in Ryan Murphy’s film adaptation.
He publicly came out as gay in April 2013 and shared that he had welcomed twins via surrogate in December 2012.
Watkins is currently in a relationship with Broadway star Andrew Rannells.

Following her role as Ana Solis, the niece of Carlos and Gabrielle, on season six of the show, Walsh went on to appear in several other television series, including The Vampire Diaries, Switched at Birth, The Last Ship, Criminal Minds, Good Trouble, and Reis.

Following his role as Ben Faulkner, an Australian property developer who married Renee on the final season of Desperate Housewives, Mesure appeared in a variety of television shows including Once Upon a Time, General Hospital, Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, and The Magicians.

Following his role as Chuck Vance, a detective connected to Bree, in the last two seasons of the show, Cake went on to appear in popular series like Law & Order: SVU, The Affair, Seal Team, Legends of Tomorrow, Grey’s Anatomy, and Stargirl.
