In my gaming world, the upcoming expansion for Destiny 2, titled The Edge of Fate, is introducing some significant changes. One of these changes involves customizing the difficulty level across all aspects of the game. But that’s not all! There are also World Tiers to consider. Ben Fabric, our project lead, explained this in a recent Developer Insights video, shedding light on The Emissary’s role. As it turns out, there are four tiers: Brave, Legendary, Fabled, and Mythic.
The first two options can be claimed straight away, whereas the others will become accessible once the campaign is completed. Similar to The Portal, higher levels offer superior rewards, but you’ll encounter modifiers such as heavily fortified and more aggressive opponents. You’ll face stronger adversaries, including Banes, but this will unlock better rewards and unveil new mysteries.
Example: Fabled provides Tier 2 Engrams, whereas Mythic delivers Tier 3 Engrams and boasts the highest reward multiplier. The challenge level is similar to an Exotic mission or Master Nightfall. Regardless of your preferred pace, it facilitates fine-tuning the Patrol experience for a smoother transition into the endgame.
Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate launches on July 15th for consoles and PC.
