As a movie fan, I was really fascinated by Charley Brown. She wasn’t a simple ‘good’ or ‘bad’ character – she was complex. She did terrible things, even killing, because of Prater, but it was all driven by desperation. Her mom was sick, and she felt trapped, like she had no way out. Uma Thurman absolutely nailed that duality – she showed us how dangerous Charley could be, but also how fragile and vulnerable she was underneath it all. It was a really compelling performance.

With her mother’s well-being secured, Charley was ready to return to New York City, but doing so was risky. Nearly everyone who discovered Dexter’s secret as the Bay Harbor Butcher ended up dead, and now Charley is one of the few survivors.
