Back in 2007, I first encountered Nana on the Channel 4 soap opera. Since then, she’s become an indispensable part of the series, gracing our screens with her presence in numerous gripping storylines. As the matriarch of the show’s most significant family, her portrayal has been nothing short of captivating.

Shane Collins, representative for Langton, stated: “Diane’s career was both prosperous and exceptional, as she graced stages, screens for films, and TV shows. Notably, she played the cherished role of Nana McQueen in Hollyoaks from 2007 up to the present.
Diane honed her skills at the Corona Academy and launched her dance profession, performing with various ballet troupes across Europe. Subsequently, she made notable appearances on programs like That Was the Week That Was and The London Palladium.
On X today, actress Elaine Paige was one of many honoring Langton, as they had collaborated on stage together in the past.
She expressed her profound shock over Diane Langton’s demise. Recollections of our time together in Hair are rushing back, with her in the dressing room sharing a bottle of beer, presumably brown. Additionally, we had recorded an album titled “Sparrow.
She was an exceptionally gifted artist, not only in her work but also in her humor, kindness, and unique charm. As a friend, she stood out. My sympathies go to her husband, Derek.
