The BBC has cancelled the planned Mandy Christmas special, which was scheduled to air this December.
The BBC has unexpectedly pulled its Christmas special, “The Mandy Who Knew Too Much,” from its broadcast schedule. Originally set to air on BBC Two and iPlayer on December 22nd at 10:25 PM, the episode – which the BBC had heavily promoted – will no longer be shown at that time.
The special, filmed in January 2025, has been unexpectedly delayed, likely because of some last-minute changes being made to it.
The description for ‘The Mandy Who Knew Too Much’ says Mandy usually avoids getting involved in international affairs, particularly during the cozy Christmas season. However, when she does get involved, she has a surprisingly large impact on world events.
BBC Two has changed its late-night schedule. Instead of the originally planned program, they will now show the 1998 comedy Beetlejuice at 10:30pm.

I first stumbled upon “Mandy” back in 2019, and honestly, I was immediately hooked. It follows Mandy, played brilliantly by Diane Morgan, as she bumbles her way through a series of wonderfully silly situations. What really struck me, and a lot of other viewers and critics, was just how cleverly funny it is – it’s completely unpredictable and embraces a really unique brand of absurd humor.
The popular show came back for a fourth season earlier this year, with Mandy continuing her chaotic attempts at various jobs and schemes. This season also included appearances from well-known faces like Martin Lewis, Paddy McGuinness, Sian Gibson, and Cheryl Fergison.
