Beast Games season 2 has broken new ground with the latest entry, even featuring a Beast City wedding. MrBeast’s spectacle of a reality game show has stepped things up in numerous ways, but one unexpected outcome was the budding romance of Jim and Monika, two players who met on the show and began dating.
Okay, so this movie throws you right into a whirlwind romance. These two characters meet, and boom – they’re all in, seriously committed, almost instantly. But honestly, it’s fast. Like, ridiculously fast. And that’s where the film really starts to make you wonder: is any of this genuine connection, or is it all just a performance? I kept asking myself, what’s real and what’s just for the cameras, or for each other’s benefit?
Jim & Monika Started Dating In Beast Games Season 2
Jim Bentayou and Monika Ronk were both chosen to compete on season 2 of Beast Games as part of the strong team. They met before filming started and seemed to hit it off, with both showing romantic interest in each other.
I’ve been watching the behind-the-scenes videos on the MrBeast channel, and Jon Youshaei has been interviewing Jim. He’s admitted he sometimes exaggerates things for the camera, which is interesting. But honestly, seeing them together, their relationship seems really real. They’re still dating and now they even have their own YouTube channel called ‘Jim & Monika,’ which is super cute!
The Beast Games BTS Saw Jim & Monika Get Married In Beast City
A behind-the-scenes clip from season 2 showed Jim proposing to Monika with a LEGO ring. They then decided to get married right away and asked another contestant, Jack, to perform the ceremony. This happened while most of the other contestants were busy competing for the island prize.
Despite being filmed, these scenes weren’t included in the final version of the episode, likely because the games already had a lot going on. Still, Jim and Monika decided to become an official couple and seemed to genuinely pursue a relationship while competing.
Jim Recently Confirmed That The Officiant Was Legally Ordained
Since Beast Games season 2 aired, Jim, Monika, and many of the other contestants have been using social media to share behind-the-scenes stories and extra details that weren’t included in the show.
In a recent post, Jim shared that Jack, who will be performing their wedding ceremony, is a legally ordained officiant. This detail highlights the genuine and meaningful nature of their marriage. Jim also expressed that he sees this as a significant milestone in their relationship.

Despite everything, Monika explains that they never actually signed any official marriage paperwork. Although Jack is a licensed minister authorized to perform marriages, the ceremony doesn’t count as a legal marriage without those documents.
While the ceremony might be enough to be considered married in places with looser rules about marriage certificates, Jim and Monika weren’t officially married during season 2 of Beast Games.
