Janet Caperna is tuning out the haters.
Jesse Lally from The Valley dismissed rumors that his co-star left the country following criticism on social media during the turbulent second season of the Bravo series.
Jesse clarified the matter regarding the ‘fled’ rumors on The Julia Cunningham Show during its July 8 episode. He admitted the truth: “A close friend of mine resides in Zurich, and we were discussing summer vacations, potential trips to Switzerland or Lake Como. I provided suggestions for their vacation, which was a planned getaway, something that was truly needed.
Jesse believes that Janet, her spouse Jason Caperna, and their 18-month-old son Cameron would greatly benefit from a well-deserved summer vacation, regardless of whether they aim to flee the digital noise or not.
The real estate tycoon playfully suggested, “Switzerland seems like a great escape destination,” implying he wishes he could go there immediately.
Jesse, too, shared his thoughts on the divided response viewers have displayed toward Janet over the course of the series’ two seasons.
Jesse observed, “When it comes to Janet, people seem curious about several things: ‘Who is Janet and Jason?’, ‘What led Jason into law?’, ‘What’s the background of Janet’s previous marriage?’, ‘Where did she originate from?’ These questions remain unanswered because her storyline keeps intertwining with others rather than developing its own narrative. If there were standalone stories, perhaps we’d get a glimpse of her vulnerability.
Following Janet’s involvement in the dispute between Kristen Doute and Jesse’s estranged wife Michelle Saniei on the June 24 episode, Jesse commented on the criticism saying, “Currently, people are primarily responding to her continual attempts to meddle in these heated circumstances.

He went on to say, “They’re grilling her about it intensely, and it’s accurate: She had no reason to be part of that discussion.
Jesse’s remarks emerged a week subsequent to when Janet changed her Instagram account to private, following the onslaught of online harassment she experienced.
She shared on her July 2 episode of “This Side of the Hill” podcast that due to the near-daily occurrence of threats, slurs, and other unpleasant incidents, she has chosen to make all her social media accounts private. Now, she’s being extremely careful about what she posts, particularly concerning her family. In essence, if you’re using racial slurs or threatening people because you can’t handle the reality TV world, it might not be the right platform for you.
Witness the unfolding events as The Valley returns every Tuesday at 8 p.m. on Bravo. Meanwhile, stay tuned to catch a glimpse of the cast’s stylish season two reunion outfits in our upcoming previews.
