Following the announcement of a May 12th release date for Directive 8020, Supermassive Games released a new trailer showcasing the cooperative gameplay feature central to The Dark Pictures Anthology.
Okay, so I just played this game with my friends, and let me tell you, it’s seriously intense! We were all huddled around, passing controllers, trying to figure out who the shapeshifter was – it was so stressful in the best way. It’s easily one of the most nerve-wracking horror games I’ve played. Be prepared for some really tough choices and moments that will have you on the edge of your seat! The developers are even planning to add online multiplayer later on, which will make it even crazier.
If you’re just joining us, Directive 8020 is a game set on the colony ship Cassieopeia, which has crashed on the planet Tau Ceti f. This planet is home to a shapeshifting alien, and things are about to get complicated! You play as Young, a crew member who has to figure out what’s happening while trying to determine if everyone around them is who they seem to be – or if they’ve been replaced by the alien.
Turn on the lights and watch the trailer! Directive 8020 will be released on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
