As a Disney+ enthusiast, I was thrilled today when two live streaming channels appeared out of nowhere! ABC News Live is now available on the service, offering 24/7 access to news programming and the like. Meanwhile, Disney Junior’s new channel is perfect for younger viewers with a continuous stream of shows such as “The Lion King,” “Minnie’s Bow-Tied Adventure,” and more. It seems that Disney has been planning on adding more live channels in the app, and I can hardly wait for more to come this fall!
Today, Disney+ subscribers were taken aback by the emergence of two new live streaming channels within the app. Now, you can tune into ABC News Live or Disney Junior’s fresh streaming channel on your Disney+ subscription. Both channels operate 24/7, providing news programming and preschool shows respectively. ABC News is emphasizing access to the upcoming presidential debates as part of their launch. Over at Disney Junior, young viewers can enjoy a non-stop stream of popular series like The Lion Guard, Minnie’s Bow-Toons, Sofia The First and many more. Last month, Disney hinted at plans to introduce streaming channels within the app, and the first two have already debuted, with more expected in the fall
This morning, it was announced that two channels are now active for Disney subscribers: “Beginning today, all Disney+ users can access ABC News Live. This premium streaming news channel offers live newscasts, breaking news updates, live events, and in-depth special reports. The service will be available 24/7, seven days a week, and will include the ABC News Presidential Debate on Tuesday, September 10th. Furthermore, Disney+ is also launching a playlist focusing on preschool content, with four more curated playlists set to release later this fall.”
More Live Channels Coming To Disney+
As a fan, I’m excited about the upcoming additions to Disney+ this year! They’ve got more live streaming channels in store for us, with seasonal content focusing on Halloween and Christmas. There’s also an adventure programming channel featuring Marvel and Star Wars, as well as a nostalgia channel filled with classic Disney Channel Original Movies and shows. Lastly, don’t forget about the attention National Geographic and documentaries are set to receive. Back in August, they even teased some of these plans!
