The Fall 2025 anime season is almost here, and Disney+ will be streaming some of the most anticipated new shows. As the Summer 2025 anime season wraps up over the next few weeks, it’s time to look forward to the fresh series premiering next month. There will be a lot of new releases, and fans will have several streaming options to choose from.
Disney+ announced its October lineup, including the release dates for two highly anticipated anime series. Both *Star Wars: Visions* and *Disney Twisted Wonderland* will premiere on October 29th, offering fans a diverse range of stories and appealing to different audiences this fall.
Disney+ Has Cool New Anime Launching This October
All episodes of *Star Wars: Visions* will be available on Disney+ starting Wednesday, October 29th. This animated anthology series has already released two seasons, each featuring unique stories within the *Star Wars* universe. The upcoming release includes fresh shorts created by well-known anime studios like David Production, Kamikaze Douga, TRIGGER, Production I.G., ANIMA (with Kamikaze Douga), Kinema Citrus, Project Studio Q, Polygon Pictures, and WIT Studio, offering fans a new perspective on the galaxy far, far away.
The new season of Star Wars: Visions will include several follow-up shorts to fan favorites from previous seasons. Notably, “The Duel: Payback” continues the story of “The Duel,” with director Takanobu Mizuno and character designer Takashi Okazaki returning. “The Lost Ones” picks up the narrative from “Village Bride,” again directed by Hitoshi Haga. Finally, a sequel titled “The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope” will continue the story of “The Ninth Jedi.”
What to Know for Disney Twisted Wonderland
On October 29th, Disney+ will begin streaming a new anime series called *Disney Twisted Wonderland*. New episodes will be released each week. The show is based on a very popular mobile game and takes place at a school filled with characters inspired by Disney villains – some of whom have been reimagined as young men. Disney describes the story as follows: Yu, a high school student, is unexpectedly transported to the magical world of Twisted-Wonderland. There, he must confront monsters, magical students, and strange events, all while having no magical abilities of his own. The question is, can Yu find his way back home?
I’m so excited about *Disney Twisted Wonderland*! It’s going to have three seasons total, and the first one is kicking things off with the Heartslabyul storyline. Then, Season 2 will dive into the Savanaclaw arc, and Season 3 will focus on Octavinelle. Seriously, there’s a ton in the works, so you definitely won’t want to miss it when it comes out!
