U.S. Disney Fans Finally Get Release Date for Miraculous World, Tokyo: Stellar

Created by Thomas Astruc, Miraculous Ladybug quickly became a popular animated superhero series. The show centers on Marinette Dupain-Cheng, a high school student in Paris who dreams of becoming a fashion designer. Secretly, she transforms into the superhero Miraculous Ladybug to fight evil. The series also follows Marinette’s crush, Adrian Agreste, who is also a superhero known as Cat Noir. Interestingly, Adrian’s father is the main villain in the show’s initial story arc.

Miraculous World: Tokyo – Stellar is the fifth animated movie made for television in the Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir series, and the sixth overall installment. While last year’s Ladybug & Cat Noir: The Movie was shown in cinemas, the Miraculous World movies offer their own exciting adventures, taking Ladybug and Cat Noir to different cities around the world. So far, the series has featured visits to New York City, Shanghai, Paris, and London. The Miraculous World movies have also been instrumental in setting the stage for future projects that will expand the Miraculous universe even more.

At San Diego Comic-Con in July, Andy Yeatman, CEO of Miraculous Corp USA and Global Operations, shared that Miraculous is entering a new and exciting phase. He said the team is building on the strong emotional stories and adventures fans have enjoyed for a decade, and that Comic-Con was the ideal event to preview what’s coming next and connect with the fan community.

Jeremy Zag, a co-creator, producer, and co-founder of Miraculous Corp, explained when the show first launched that Ladybug and Cat Noir were designed to encourage children worldwide to have confidence in themselves. He says that goal is still central to their work today, and they’re excited to continue sharing the series with their fans.

Miraculous World, Tokyo: Stellar premieres on Disney XD on Nov. 30 at 11 a.m. EST.
