Disney Epic Mickey Rebrushed Demo is Available Now

As a seasoned gamer with fond memories of the 2010 Nintendo Wii era, I can’t help but feel a rush of nostalgia at the thought of Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed! The original game was a unique blend of adventure, puzzle-solving, and a dash of Disney magic that left an indelible mark on my gaming journey.

THQ Nordic has made public that a trial version of Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, accessible on all platforms, is now at your disposal. The specifics aren’t disclosed, but it offers a glimpse into the game’s enchanted universe, allowing you to take your initial strides. You can watch the launch trailer below for more information.

Rebrushed, a 2010 Nintendo Wii platformer remake by Junction Point Studios, places Mickey Mouse in a role where he saves Wasteland. This realm is home to forgotten Disney properties and characters, including Mickey’s predecessor, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

Players subsequently need to decide on cleaning up the Blot invasion across the world using a Magic Paintbrush, eraser, and other tools. Interacting with enemies can either neutralize them or turn them friendly, influencing the narrative flow. Additionally, there are hidden secrets scattered throughout the game. The remake introduces new abilities for Mickey, such as ground pound and dash moves.

Disney’s reimagined classic, “Disney Epic Mickey: The Reworked Version,” hits the shelves on September 24th. It will be available for play on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, older Xbox and PlayStation consoles, Nintendo Switch, as well as personal computers. Here’s a sneak peek at some gameplay footage.
