The Simpsons Season 36 featured some of the most impactful episodes in the show’s history recently. The season began with a premiere that hinted at how the series might end, and concluded with an episode exploring a possible future, showing what the Simpsons family could be like in 30 years. It was a noteworthy season filled with surprising developments that significantly impacted the characters, making each week’s episode a genuine surprise.
I thought Season 36 of The Simpsons was a really impressive one. It wasn’t just the regular episodes that were interesting – the show really played around with the characters – but they also did some cool stuff with special events. There was a second Treehouse of Horror episode that adapted stories by Ray Bradbury, which was great. And the Treehouse of Horror XXXV special had some fantastic stop motion animation – it was done by the same studio that makes Robot Chicken, and it really stood out. If you’re looking for some highlights, I’d recommend checking out “Bart’s Birthday,” “Convenience Airways,” “The Man Who Flew Too Much” and “Estranger Things.”
The Simpsons Takes Over Disney+ This October
The Simpsons is set to dominate Disney+ this Halloween season. In addition to all 36 seasons of the show becoming available, a new, fast-paced streaming channel is launching dedicated to the series. Called “Treehouse of Horrors,” this channel will stream every Treehouse of Horror special, in order, for the very first time. This includes the newest special from Season 36, making it the perfect way to enjoy these spooky episodes during the holidays.
The Simpsons Season 37 recently began airing on Fox on Sunday nights, with the first episode premiering over the weekend. This marks the start of a new season under a four-season renewal deal, meaning Fox will continue to broadcast the show’s animated programming for the foreseeable future.
