As a seasoned gamer with a heart full of nostalgia, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement when I see the new roadmap for Disney Speedstorm! From the Incredibles to Tron and Big Hero 6, these seasons are like a trip down memory lane, each one bringing back memories of the movies that were part of my childhood.
Edna Mode’s words echo in our minds as Gameloft focuses on the future for Disney Speedstorm, their free-to-play kart combat-racing game inspired by Disney and Pixar. New seasons will be themed around “The Incredibles” (in celebration of its 20th anniversary), “Big Hero 6” (commemorating a decade since its release), and “Tron,” with anticipation for the upcoming film “Tron: Ares.
Gameloft revealed a change in the game’s progression: for the next two months, six-racer seasons will keep coming out, while each upcoming season with seven racers will last for three months “to give our development team ample time to create and perfect the new content,” according to the publisher.
Disney Speedstorm Season 11: The Incredibles
According to the recently unveiled plan, Disney Speedstorm’s season 11 is set to debut in December 2024. This first part will introduce five brand-new racers, along with a racing environment reminiscent of Pixar’s The Incredibles. Moreover, two additional characters, possibly Moana and Maui from the upcoming Moana 2 movie, might enter the competition midway through this three-part season that spans over three months. As for the racers yet to be disclosed, they will include members of the Parr family such as Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack, as well as Frozone, Edna “E” Mode the fashion designer, and the supervillain Syndrome.
Disney Speedstorm Season 12: Tron
Starting March 2025, I can’t wait to dive back into Disney Speedstorm with the electrifying Season 12! This season will pay tribute to the iconic world of TRON, and it’s going to be a thrilling two-month ride.
Disney Speedstorm Season 13: Big Hero 6
Disney Speedstorm is bringing back its Season 13, themed around the beloved movie Big Hero 6, to a longer season structure. This upcoming season will feature five characters from the superhero team: Baymax, Hiro Himada, Go Go, Wasabi, Honey Lemon, and Fred. The three-part season will include an extra pair of mid-season racers. Instead of one continuous season, it’ll be divided into three distinct Golden Passes (each can be purchased separately).
From its free-to-play debut in September 2023, the roster of characters in Disney Speedstorm has grown to encompass a diverse array of 75 racers spanning various Disney and Pixar series. These range from classics like 101 Dalmatians, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, Hercules, Inside Out 2, Jungle Book, Lilo & Stitch, Mickey Mouse & Friends, Monsters, Inc., Mulan, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sleeping Beauty, Tangled, The Little Mermaid, The Muppets, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Toy Story, WALL-E, Walt Disney World, and Wreck-It Ralph.
