For those who haven’t heard yet, “Disney Twisted-Wonderland” is a well-liked Japanese mobile game developed by Aniplex and Disney Japan, with the creative direction and character designs being overseen by Yana Toboso, famous for her work on “Black Butler”. The creators have drawn inspiration from legendary Disney villains like Maleficent, Jafar, and five others. In this unique twist, these villain characters are transformed into attractive male counterparts. The story unfolds at Night Raven College, where after being drawn into the enigmatic Mirror of Darkness, Yū wakes up in Twisted Wonderland and is admitted to the institution. With Crowley, the masked headmaster, as his guide, he must join forces with strong yet rebellious students, each representing the spirit of a classic villain, to find a way back home. However, as conflicts escalate, secrets are revealed, and Yu’s mission to unite them becomes increasingly challenging.

In this project, Takahiro Natori assumes roles as the chief animation director and script supervisor under the guidance of directors Shin Katagai at Yumeta Company and Graphinica. Notably, Yoichi Kato, renowned for his work on “Space Brothers” and “Aikatsu!”, takes up the position of head writer for the series. The character designs are entrusted to Hanaka Nakano and Akane Satō.

As an ardent admirer, I’m thrilled about the potential of Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation becoming this fall’s hidden gem! With its distinctive narrative, captivating characters, and promising production quality, it’s a title that definitely piques my interest. Though details like trailers and complete staff list are yet to be unveiled, I trust the creators to share them in due course. In the meantime, fellow enthusiasts and I eagerly anticipate more updates!
