The game Dispatch has a remarkably difficult, almost hidden, ending to unlock. This isn’t too shocking considering Dispatch already features six endings – three are part of the normal game, and three are secret. Since its release in 2025, Dispatch has breathed new life into episodic adventures and visual novels with a compelling and unique story that has really resonated with players. Because the game focuses on choices that shape the story, discovering a new ending is more challenging than surprising – it requires something beyond a typical playthrough.
A previously undiscovered fourth ending for the game was hinted at on December 13, 2025, by Nick Herman, a lead developer and co-founder of Dispatch, during an interview with Eurogamer. While some fans had found references to it within the game’s code, no one had actually unlocked it through gameplay. This secret ending, called “Tactitian,” appeared to require completing all 26 hacks related to the “H4ck3d by R0b3rt” achievement. Despite many attempts, players couldn’t trigger the ending, which likely led Herman to mention it.
Getting to Dispatch’s Hidden Ending Is Impossible

Players explored every possible strategy to unlock the fourth ending – from carefully assigning heroes to missions to intentionally failing all dispatch requests – but nothing worked. After investigating, they discovered the ending, called “Tactician,” is currently bugged, making it unreachable through normal gameplay. A fix is needed before players can unlock it. According to Herman, the ending was designed to be very difficult to achieve, but it’s actually impossible as it stands.
Herman revealed that unlocking the “Tactitian” ending involves skillful gameplay, specifically mastering elements that aren’t based on chance. What exactly this entails is still a mystery, but he suspects it might actually be a bug. He admitted that the requirements are so difficult, they initially assumed it was impossible to achieve, but now believe a flaw in the game is responsible. Essentially, the final secret ending of Dispatch is currently broken, and the developers are aware of the issue. Despite this, players are still determined to unlock it. Dispatch already has its share of bugs, and future updates could potentially fix this one, making “Tactitian” attainable.
So, another designer, Pierre Shorette, let slip that there’s a secret ending – the “Tactitian” – but it’s currently broken and we can’t even see how to trigger it. Apparently, based on what the developers have said, it’s going to be really tough to unlock anytime soon. I’ve seen people are digging through the game’s code on Reddit (you can find a link there if you’re curious), but even that doesn’t tell you how to actually get it. We’re all still trying every possible thing to beat the game and see this ending, but honestly, it feels like it’ll take a patch to fix the code before anyone manages it.
