The superhero comedy game *Dispatch* is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC (via Steam) on October 22nd, according to developer AdHoc Studio.
Here is an overview of the demo, via its Steam page:
About
Created by the team behind *Tales from the Borderlands* and *The Wolf Among Us*, *Dispatch* is a funny superhero story that takes place in a modern Los Angeles office setting.
You’re Robert Robertson, also known as Mecha Man. After a tough battle damages his powerful suit, he finds himself working at a superhero dispatch center – not as a hero fighting crime, but as the person who *sends* the heroes out. His job? Helping former supervillains turn their lives around. He’ll need to manage this unusual team, deal with workplace drama, and secretly rebuild his suit so he can get revenge on the one who defeated him.
Shape Your Story
I’m really excited about *Dispatch* because it seems like my choices actually *matter*. It’s not just about big, dramatic moments, either – even casual conversations and how I interact with the heroes will shape our relationships, who they trust, and ultimately, how *my* story plays out. It sounds incredibly immersive!
Deploy Your Heroes
Check the strategy map to stay updated on current emergencies and send the appropriate heroes to handle them. Carefully weigh the risks and benefits of your choices, as they can significantly impact your team and the city’s future.
Mange Your Roster
Leading a team of heroes isn’t just about their superpowers. Each hero has their own unique personality, weaknesses, and personal issues that you’ll need to handle to maintain team unity. Improving their skills and unlocking new abilities will make them more effective when they’re out in action.
Dispatch is a unique game that combines storytelling, strategic thinking, and funny moments to examine the idea of heroism – and shows that heroes come in all forms, from caped crusaders to everyday office workers.
