The first four episodes of the new thriller, The Iris Affair, created by the writer of Luther, are now streaming on Sky and NOW. The series boasts a cast full of well-known actors.
The show stars Niamh Algar as Iris and Tom Hollander as her opponent, Cameron. Kristofer Hivju, Meréana Tomlinson, and Sacha Dhawan also join the cast.
In the series ‘Doctor Who and I,’ Harry Lloyd plays Hugo Pym, a villain whose actions highlight just how dangerous Cameron truly is.
“I’ve played quite a lot of evil, messed-up characters, but this guy takes the biscuit,” he said.

He described his audition as a unique and engaging conversation with Cameron, almost like performing a monologue. He joins the series around the midpoint, bringing an added layer of mystery, darkness, and unpredictability to the story.
Honestly, the dialogue in that film is just incredible. Neil, the writer, has this way with words – he’s practically a poet hiding as a screenwriter! What I loved most is how he could weave these big, thought-provoking ideas – really deep, emotional stuff – into what’s essentially a thriller. It was such a unique concept, and I also really connected with the character I got to play.
In “The Iris Affair,” a brilliant woman named Iris is recruited by Cameron to activate a groundbreaking machine with the potential to reshape the future. Realizing the machine’s far-reaching consequences, Iris flees with the codes, sparking a thrilling pursuit across Italy.
Pym is currently leading the committee that funded Cameron’s invention. He’s hoping it can cure his boss’s granddaughter, who is ill.
The Iris Affair airs on Thursdays on Sky and NOW. Find out more about how to sign up for Sky TV.
