I just finished watching Predator: Badlands, and honestly, the way Dek and Thia’s story wrapped up has me immediately wondering if there’s something extra hidden in the credits! It feels like everyone does these little post-credit scenes now, especially with franchises, and Predator: Killer of Killers actually started that trend for this series, which is pretty cool.
The initial excitement around Predator: Badlands, and the fact that a longer cut was added after its release, led many to believe it might have a scene after the credits. This idea was strengthened by director Trachtenberg hinting he’d already been thinking about a sequel.
Predator: Badlands Does Not Have A Post-Credits Scene
Unlike other Predator films, Predator: Badlands doesn’t have a scene after the credits. Director Trachtenberg chose not to include any post-credit sequences that might hint at future installments.
Don’t switch off the TV as soon as the movie ends! It’s worth watching the credits to see the names of all the talented people who helped create the film – including the director, actors, writers, and the entire crew.
Don’t worry about sitting through the credits if you’re hoping for a hint of what’s next for the Predator franchise. Unlike Prey, this movie doesn’t have any extra scenes or graphics after the credits to tease future installments.
As a big fan of the Predator films, I found it really interesting that Predator: Badlands didn’t have a scene after the credits. Director Trachtenberg has cleverly used those post-credit moments to hint at future stories in his previous Predator movies, and he seemed to have a knack for doing it without limiting where the franchise could go next. It definitely made me wonder why he skipped it this time!
The ending of Prey hinted that we might see a story about Naru’s tribe facing a full invasion of Yautja ships. However, the post-credits scene in Killer of Killers changed course. Instead of that invasion, it suggests a future where Naru, Dutch, and Harrigan are revived to team up and fight the Yautja again, along with Ursa.
Since Predator: Badlands didn’t have a scene after the credits, it’s unclear what the next installment will be. However, that might have been deliberate, as this film is set further in the future than any other Predator movie. This gives director Trachtenberg the freedom to decide the best direction for the franchise.
