Donald Trump just picked up a new nickname.
Following the president’s announcement about a comprehensive and absolute truce between Iran and Israel, he reiterated his conviction that those nations “may not fully comprehend their actions.
Trump compared a disagreement between certain individuals to a playground squabble during his conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the June 25 NATO summit in The Hague, Netherlands. He added that once they’ve exhausted themselves after a couple of minutes, it becomes simple to intervene and calm them down.
In response, Rutte showed the president his full support with a nickname.
The NATO representative jokingly remarked, “Dad sometimes needs to speak forcefully,” as he enthusiastically raised his fist. Later, he emphasized, “When it comes to Iran, I believe he’s earned all the admiration for his bold, precise action that prevented them from acquiring nuclear capabilities.
How did Trump respond when someone referred to him as “daddy” in a crowd of thousands of global leaders? He certainly felt honored and flattered by it.
The 79-year-old expressed his fondness for me, stating ‘I like him,’ to the press a few hours ago. I believe he feels this way, but if my assumption is incorrect, I will make it clear by confronting him strongly.
“He did it very affectionately,” he added. “’Daddy, you’re my daddy.’”
However, Rutte used warm and friendly terms for Trump, but his relationships with other close colleagues haven’t always been as favorable.
In actuality, there was a very public disagreement between him and Elon Musk, who previously held the position of head at his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). This happened only a few days after Elon left his position in the White House as CEO of Tesla.
In simpler terms, written recently on X, Musk expressed his disapproval, stating, “I’ve had enough! This bloated, extravagant, overstuffed Congressional spending bill is an appalling monstrosity. It’s a source of great shame for those who supported it, as you well know, you have made a mistake.
Two days after making another statement, he asserted that if it weren’t for him, Trump wouldn’t have won the election. Feeling unappreciated was his sentiment.
Following Musk’s attempt to claim credit for the outcome of the 2024 election, Trump retaliated by posting something on social media in response.
In a post on his Truth Social platform dated June 5th, it was stated that Elon was becoming increasingly agitated. I requested him to depart, removed the EV Mandate that compelled everyone to purchase electric vehicles (which I had planned to do for months and he was aware of), and this seemed to send him over the edge!

As a die-hard fan, I’d rephrase it like this: Born and bred in Ohio, none other than JD Vance was once deeply immersed in the world of venture capitalism. However, his life took an unexpected turn when he penned the blockbuster 2016 memoir, “Hillbilly Elegy,” stepping away from finance and into the limelight.
In 2022, a Yale-educated lawyer and former Marine was chosen for the U.S. Senate. After just under two years in this position, he was selected as Donald Trump’s vice presidential candidate for the 2024 election.
In her role as Vice President, Vance plays a crucial part by stepping in as the decisive vote if necessary, to help Senate Republicans pass bills when the votes are tied.
He has been married to law school sweetheart Usha Vance since 2014 and they share three children.
Back in 2016, I was one of the many who fiercely opposed Marco Rubio during our presidential race. However, today, I can’t help but feel an uncontainable admiration as I watch him champion the very same agenda he once criticized. It’s a fascinating transformation, isn’t it?
Originating from Miami and born to parents who had immigrated from Cuba, this individual became the solitary nominee for Trump’s second cabinet to gain unanimous bipartisan approval by the Senate, with a vote of 99-0. Notably, Rubio was still serving as Ohio Senator at the time, allowing him to cast his own vote in confirmation. (Now, former Ohio Sen. Vance fills the one-seat vacancy.)
Rubio, as depicted alongside Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly, has been in matrimony with Jeanette Dousdebes since 1998. Together, they are parents to two girls and two boys.
Scott Bessent boasts over forty years of expertise in international investment management, with roles such as the CEO of hedge fund Key Square Capital Management and the Chief Investment Officer at Soros Fund Management, which is linked to high-profile Democratic donor George Soros.
Apart from that, he imparted knowledge about economic history at his former university, Yale, and, alongside his family, founded the McLeod Rehabilitation Center within the Shriners Children’s Hospital in South Carolina, his native state.
Personally speaking, I’m thrilled to share that my family – my beloved husband and our cherished kids – divide our time between the bustling Washington, D.C., and the charming Charleston, S.C. It’s a lifestyle that keeps me on my toes, balancing two cities brimming with their unique charms!
In a particular area and income bracket, being gay was not a problem, he shared with the Yale Alumni Magazine in 2015 before the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling that made same-sex marriage legal across the country. What’s remarkable is that now, people throughout America, regardless of their social status, have equal access to everything. If someone had told me in 1984, when we graduated and the AIDS epidemic was rampant, that in 30 years I would be legally married and have two children through surrogacy, I wouldn’t have thought it possible.
Pete Hegseth, an Army National Guard veteran, had been a co-host on the weekend edition of Fox News’ show “Fox & Friends” since 2017, when he was chosen by President Trump for the role of Defense Secretary.
Previous contentious remarks about diversity and gender in the military, a 2017 sexual assault accusation (which Hegseth has firmly denied), claims of alcohol abuse at work (also denied) and a 2018 email from his mother (that she later disowned) labeling him as a woman abuser nearly halted his confirmation. However, he was barely approved by the Senate with no votes from Democrats and three Republicans expressing dissent.
Eric Hegseth is married to Jennifer Rauchet Hegseth, his third wife, and together they have one daughter. He also shares three children with his second ex-wife, Samatha Deering. The couple exchanged vows at Trump National Golf Club in Colts Neck, New Jersey, in 2019.
Following Matt Gaetz’s decision to step back from nomination amid scandals, President-elect Trump opted for Pam Bondi, a former Florida Attorney General and a member of his defense team during his initial impeachment trial, to head the United States Department of Justice instead.
For 18 years prior to her role, she served as a prosecutor within the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office. In 2011, she became Florida’s first female attorney general. As her time in office was coming to an end, she temporarily hosted Fox News’ “The Five” for three days in 2018, which raised some concerns regarding ethical conduct while holding a public office.
According to a representative, it was mentioned in the Tampa Bay Times that she frequently appears on national news broadcasts. Remarkably, this role doesn’t come with a salary for her as the host. The Attorney General is known for her relentless work ethic, being reachable around the clock, even when she’s traveling outside of the state.
Since the year 2017, Bondi has been in a romantic relationship with John Wakefield, who is the founding principal of Varner Wakefield Equity Partners. Prior to this, he had three children from a past relationship.
2024 presidential aspirant and former Trump supporter, wealthy software tycoon and investor Doug Burgum, served as North Dakota’s governor from 2017 until he was appointed to lead the Department of Interior, a role that oversees the administration of about 480 million acres of federal land, striking a balance between resource development and conservation.
Raised in the small town of Arthur, North Dakota (with a population of just 325), Burgum later went on to study at North Dakota State University. He also launched a chimney sweeping company, which he believes played a significant role in his acceptance into Stanford’s business school.
In 2017, I shared with Forbes that an article about me, featuring pictures of me perched atop a frozen chimney while working as a chimney sweep, was published in our college newspaper. The story spread to the Associated Press wire service and apparently created quite a buzz in the Stanford admissions office.
Burgum is the father of three kids from his previous marriage with Karen Stoker, and he has been in a union with Kathryn Helgaas since 2016.
Originally hailing from Glen Rose, Texas, Brooke Rollins holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Development from Texas A&M and earned her Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Texas School of Law.
In the White House during President Trump’s initial term, I served as the Director of the Domestic Policy Council and the Assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives, playing a crucial role in shaping our nation’s domestic policies and long-term strategic plans.
Prior to assuming leadership at the Department of Agriculture, Rollins served as CEO and president of the America First Policy Institute, a think tank she established in 2021 with the aim of advancing Donald Trump’s political agenda.
As mentioned in her official biography, she and her spouse Mark Rollins often devote their leisure hours in Fort Worth to shuttling their energetic quartet of kids to various activities such as baseball matches, livestock exhibitions, piano practice sessions, and Texas A&M football games.
Prior to becoming part of Donald Trump’s cabinet, Howard Lutnick held the positions of CEO and president at the financial services company Cantor Fitzgerald. He climbed up the corporate ladder within the firm, starting his career there as a young broker in 1983.
Based in New York City, this well-known organization tragically lost 658 staff members on September 11, 2001, as a result of one of the four hijacked airplanes colliding with the North Tower of the World Trade Center during a terrorist attack.
For 35 consecutive days in 2006, Lutnick, who had lost his brother Gary during that period, attended twenty funerals each day. On some occasions, the grief was so overwhelming that he couldn’t even make it to the funeral of close friends. Remarkably, on one particular day, his wife had to attend the funeral of his best friend’s brother, while he himself went to the funeral of his college roommate’s sibling, who were both being mourned at the same time.
Inquired about his progression, he replied, “I’d liken it to riding a surfboard on a massive wave. If you were to glance backward, the wave could overtake you, and I might not be able to carry on.
Lutnick has four children with wife Allison Lambert.
Lori Chavez-DeRemer held the position of mayor in Happy Valley, Oregon from 2011 to 2019. In 2022, she made history as the first female Republican representative from her state to be elected to Congress.
Despite not being re-elected, the Californian native – a union supporter and child of a Mexican-American Teamster father – remains open to the possibility of joining President Trump’s second term cabinet.
As a devoted partner, I am the proud mother of twin daughters with my cherished high school sweetheart, Dr. Shawn DeRemer. In 2024, we will celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. On this special occasion, I shared on Instagram, “The swift passage of time is due to our unwavering commitment to a ‘remarkable love’ that continues to be worth every effort we invest in it.
In less than two weeks following her confirmation as Labor Secretary on March 11, 2025, the DeRemers welcomed their first grandchild.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a longtime Democrat, shifted his allegiance to Trump when his own presidential bid in 2024 failed to gain traction.
Among Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Kennedy’s 11 children, it is the third one who is currently leading the “MAHA” (make America healthy again) movement, previously known as an environmental lawyer. In more recent times, he has gained attention for expressing concerns about the safety of vaccines and psychotropic drugs, which has led to disagreements within his own family.
While Kerry Kennedy criticized his attempt to dishonor their father’s memory by endorsing Trump, Caroline Kennedy labeled him a “predator” in a letter penned in January 2025, asking the Senate not to approve him for the position of HHS secretary.
In a personal aspect, Kennedy is the father of six children: Two from his first marriage with Emily Black and four with his late second spouse, Mary Richardson, who tragically took her own life in 2012. Since 2014, he has been wedded to actress Cheryl Hines, known for her role in “Curb Your Enthusiasm”.
Previously professional American football player, Scott Turner, served as the representative for Texas’ 33rd congressional district from 2013 until 2017. Later in 2019, he was chosen by President Trump to lead the White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council.
In a 2016 NFL Player Engagement interview, I shared that my parents and godparents had instilled in me the importance of serving others since childhood. They constantly encouraged me to care for people around me, work diligently, and maintain unwavering faith. It’s not always simple, but I made a commitment within myself to prioritize these values throughout my life.
As a devoted follower, entrepreneur, and Baptist pastor, I have been honored to be married to my beloved wife, Robin Turner, since 1995. In the year 2009, we expanded our family by adopting my nephew, Solomon, who previously played football at Baylor and Hawaii before joining the team at the University of Illinois as a walk-on player.
In 2022, Solomon shared with Saturday Tradition that without his uncle and aunt, he wouldn’t know where he’d be. He added that their influence in his life meant the world to him. It wasn’t just about having his uncle as a father figure, but also about being able to attend this place and contribute, it felt like a way for him to express gratitude.
Sean Duffy first made a name for himself in 1997 as a housemate on The Real World: Boston.
He has nine children with Rachel Campos-Duffy, a former contestant on The Real World: San Francisco, whom he met during Road Rules: All Stars in 1998 and married the year after that.
For eight years, Duffy held the position of Ashland County District Attorney in his native Wisconsin, later moving on to serve in Congress from 2011 to 2019. He stepped down from office in August of that year due to the health concerns of his unborn ninth child.
Following birth, a period ranging from two to six months, she’ll require open-heart surgery, as he clarified on Fox & Friends. In simpler terms, they will need to operate on her heart.
Duffy mentioned, “I have a deep affection for politics, yet my family is my top priority. It’s all about finding the right balance, as the schedules can be demanding. I’m away in Washington four days a week, and then I return to Rachel.” While traversing his constituency to interact with people, he noted, “as representatives of Congress, we occasionally take some hits. We seem to make an appealing target for criticism.
In an interview with NCTA in May 2019, he shared that his experience on “The Real World” required him to reside with individuals who were distinctly different from himself. Initially, upon arrival, he noted the significant disparities between himself and his roommates. However, upon departing, he came to understand that he shared far more commonalities with them than he had initially thought.
He likened the situation to negotiating bills in Congress: ‘It’s astounding what collaborative projects you can accomplish, and how many areas of agreement you unexpectedly discover.’
Energy enthusiast Chris Wright serves as the founder of Pinnacle Technologies, a company that, as per his biography from the Department of Energy, pioneered the field of hydraulic fracturing (commonly known as fracking) mapping.
Prior to being nominated for his cabinet position, he had previously held the role of CEO at Liberty Energy, which ranks as the second largest hydraulic fracturing corporation in the U.S.
According to his biography, he was a dedicated father, grandfather, skier, cyclist, climber, and lover of the outdoors. His wife, Liz Wright, lived with him previously in Colorado, but they later moved to Washington, D.C.
In the year of 1966, Linda McMahon (formerly Edwards) got married to her husband Vince McMahon when she was 17 years old, having completed high school earlier. Despite initially pursuing a career as a French teacher, she eventually found herself co-managing the family business, World Wrestling Entertainment, from the year 1980 until 2009.
During Trump’s initial term from 2017 to 2019, McMahon served as the Administrator for the Small Business Administration. Upon Trump’s re-election in 2024, this grandmother of six played a significant role by co-chairing his transition team. Later, she was appointed to lead the U.S. Department of Education, an institution that Trump intends to restructure or potentially dissolve.
McMahon expressed strong support for the president’s objective, which aims to devolve education back to the individual states. He shares the president’s viewpoint that the most effective education occurs when it’s closest to the student.
In November 2024, McMahon’s lawyer confirmed that the ex-WWE executive and her husband were separated despite still being legally married, as reported by the Washington Post. Interestingly, their son Shane McMahon and daughter Stephanie McMahon are both former professional wrestlers, while Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Stephanie’s husband, holds the position of Chief Content Officer at WWE.
Colonel Doug Collins, formerly of the U.S. Air Force Reserve, has a background in law, served as a representative in the Georgia State House, a member of Congress, and held the role of a military chaplain.
However, based on his Veterans Affairs biography, he primarily identifies as a husband to Lisa, a father to Jordan, Copelan, and Cameron.
Since 2019, Kristi Noem has been serving as Governor of South Dakota. There were whispers that she could be a potential running mate for Trump in 2024, but this speculation ended when she detailed an incident involving shooting her family’s unruly dog in her memoir titled “No Going Back”.
Undeterred by the turmoil, Trump chose Noem – a former Congresswoman who served from 2011 to 2019 on the House Armed Services Committee – to lead the Department of Homeland Security. This department is tasked with safeguarding the U.S. from both domestic and foreign threats.
In 1992, the former South Dakota Snow Queen exchanged marriage vows with Bryon Noem, and together they have three offspring.
