Donald Trump Speaks Out After Charlie Kirk Fatally Shot at Utah Event

President Donald Trump is paying tribute.

79-year-old individual voiced opinions shortly following the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist, at an event in Utah Valley University. Regrettably, Kirk was only 31 years old.

In a video statement made on September 10th, he expressed deep sorrow and outrage over the brutal murder of Charlie Kirk on a university campus in Utah. Charlie touched the lives of many, and tonight, everyone who knew and cared for him is left stunned and appalled by this tragic event.

Trump went on to highlight Kirk’s impact and his passion for debate.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but express my awe for this remarkable figure whose life mission was to engage the youth in the political sphere, a task he executed with unparalleled brilliance. He fearlessly advocated his beliefs with courage, logic, wit, and elegance, traits that resonated deeply within me. It’s high time that every American and media outlet acknowledge the devastating impact of consistently vilifying those who hold differing viewpoints. Day in, day out, year after year, this hateful rhetoric fuels an environment where violence and tragic incidents like murder become all too common. Let’s strive for understanding, compassion, and dialogue to bridge our differences and create a more harmonious society.

Trump shared, “This is a dark moment for America.”

At Utah Valley University, Kirk – the co-founder of the conservative organization Turning Point USA – was approximately 20 minutes into his speech when, according to the university’s representative, gunshots were heard coming from a neighboring structure, as reported by NBC News.

At the university, a political activist known for his “Prove Me Wrong” debates initiated his nationwide American Comeback Tour. Unfortunately, during this event, he was the sole individual involved in a shooting incident and had to be rushed to a local hospital. Later that day, Trump announced his passing in a deeply sad statement.

Charlie Kirk, a highly esteemed figure who earned legendary status, passed away on September 10th as per a post made by Trump on Truth Social. Few understood or resonated with the spirit of America’s youth like Charlie did. He was deeply cherished and respected by many, including myself, and now we must sadly mourn his departure from our midst.

Additionally, at that moment, the POTUS also extended his sympathies to Kirk’s immediate family, which encompasses his spouse Erika Frantzve, as well as their two children.

Trump expressed his sympathies, saying, “My thoughts, like Melania’s, are with Charlie’s beloved wife, Erika, and their entire family in this difficult time.” He also shared a message of affection, stating, “We love you, Charlie!

On September 10, the FBI stated that they did not yet have a shooting suspect under their custody, having earlier released a person who was considered as a potential suspect.

Following the unfortunate incident, Utah Valley University postponed all scheduled classes indefinitely as a precautionary measure. The university also advised staff and students to promptly evacuate the premises, a directive that was confirmed on September 10th.

Prior to Kirk’s death, Trump shared that he was hoping for his recovery.

Trump posted on Truth Social that we should all hope for Charlie Kirk’s recovery, as he was injured in a shooting. He spoke highly of Kirk, calling him a wonderful individual. May God grant him healing.

In a similar vein, Vice President JD Vance expressed his sentiments, further emphasizing them with the following words regarding X: “Dearest God, grant strength to Charlie during his most challenging times.

Meanwhile, Chris Pratt sent his thoughts and prayers to Kirk’s loved ones.

On September 10, the star from Guardians of the Galaxy expressed his sentiments, praying for Charlie Kirk, particularly for his wife and little children. He also expressed hope for our nation, stating that we could greatly benefit from divine guidance. May God offer us His mercy. God save us.

Charlie Kirk and his wife Erika Frantzve Kirk announced the birth of their first child, a daughter.

On Instagram, the co-founder of Turning Point USA expressed, “Welcome to the world, little girl! You are deeply loved by us.

In the summertime, the ex-Miss Arizona USA enjoyed a sunny vacation with her family, which included their brand new baby boy, who had been welcomed into the world in May 2024.

She expressed on Instagram that the thrill of obedience lies in discovering later what God intended, encouraging everyone to adjust or reconsider their mindset as needed, yet ultimately finding happiness in submission.

Charlie and Erika took their child, who goes by “GG” on social media, to see the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. with them.

In her Instagram post, she wrote, “Guide a child along the path that’s right for them, and they will continue to follow that path even as they grow older.” She also added, “Only Jesus loves you more than we do, my dear GG.”

By using simpler language and rephrasing the original quote slightly, I hope this version is easier to understand while still conveying the same meaning.

The conservative activist and his wife took GG to a Chicago Cubs baseball game.

“God, family, country,” he captioned the Instagram post, “and the Cubs.”

Erika and Charlie brought their kids to the set of Sesame Street.

She wrote on Instagram that spending time with them allows her to experience again the first experiences she didn’t realize she’d missed from her own childhood. It’s like coming full circle in the purest sense. They inspire her to breathe at a calmer pace, pray with deeper devotion, and love with more thoughtfulness.

Charlie marked the first birthday of his son, taking a moment to ponder the effects fatherhood has had on him.

On Instagram, he expressed that he’s filled our lives with endless joy and amusement. He noted that being a parent is an extraordinary blessing, and it’s even more delightful as he gets to experience parenthood together with @mrserikakirk.

Erika took to Instagram to honor Charlie as an incredibly thoughtful husband and father, by sharing a heartfelt Father’s Day post featuring a video of him purchasing a new doll for their daughter.

The conservative activist said to his daughter as he picked up a doll from the shelf, “You need to act very nicely if you want something like this.” He then asked her, “Have you been behaving well?” With a smile, he added, “Alright, I’ll buy it for you.

In a Fourth of July video, Erika expressed that the festivities symbolizing freedom sparked feelings of affection towards Charlie.

On such vibrant, patriotic days when the skies explode in red, white, and blue, and the air resonates with the spirit of freedom, I feel particularly thankful for my husband whom I affectionately call mine. I admire his deep love for our country, a love that extends beyond today’s celebrations, believing that the liberties we honor are worth safeguarding each day.

She went on to say, “Even if not every one of his words resonates with you, I trust that the fact he can express himself will still resonate. This is because we all have the ability to speak. And this land, though it may have its flaws and its virtues, is a tapestry woven by a Constitution that magnificently upholds our right to speech, our religious freedom, our homes, and our aspirations.

She added, “That alone is something worth celebrating.”

Charlie reminisced about building sandcastles on the beach as he celebrated his oldest child’s third birthday.

Charlie posted on Instagram, ‘Happy birthday to our wonderful daughter!’ He shared that showing her the path to God, along with @mrserikakirk, is an immense honor. He also emphasized that having a family brings about life-changing blessings, so he encourages everyone to get married and start a family – it’s something you won’t regret.

Charlie and Erika, together with their children, attended an Arizona Diamondbacks baseball match, a chance for Erika to relive her childhood memories through the perspective of her kids.

She posted on Instagram, “Am I creating a childhood for my children that will foster gratitude and belief, or one that may lead them to seek healing where they didn’t receive it from me? The truth is, only time will tell after the choices have been made.

She added, “This window is short, drench yourself in it.”
