Nintendo is holding special, short-term events each month for owners of the paid downloadable content for *Donkey Kong Bananza*, called “DK Island + Emerald Rush.” The first of these events, “Chip Fever,” will take place from October 28th to November 4th.
Here are the details:
Each event will feature a unique Emerald Rush challenge that changes how the game usually works. These challenges set specific rules about things like the Emerald Perks you earn from fossils and Banandium Gems. You’ll still get to choose one of three Emerald Perks, but the same three options will be available every time you play.
If you reach the goal scores in this challenge, you’ll earn special character statues and Banandium Chips. You can trade these Chips for regular statues. And don’t worry if you don’t succeed right away – you can keep trying as many times as you want during the event!
I’m so excited for the first event, “Chip Fever!” It kicks off on October 28th at 1 AM Pacific Time (4 AM Eastern) and runs until November 3rd at 11:59 PM Pacific Time (November 4th at 2:59 AM Eastern). We’ll be able to explore DK Island, breaking things apart to find statues of Enguarde and Kong Bananza – I can’t wait to collect them all!
Donkey Kong Bananza is available now for Switch 2.
