This summer, the BBC Proms will make a comeback, bringing together top-tier artists, orchestras, and conductors from around the globe for performances spanning across the United Kingdom over the following eight weeks.
From the 18th of July until the 13th of September, I’m excitedly counting down to an unmissable musical extravaganza gracing our calendars! Already, some extraordinary acts have been confirmed for this must-see event.
In simple terms, the BBC has revealed that Claudia Winkleman, the host of The Traitors, will attend this year’s exclusive The Traitors Prom event. She’ll be joined by popular contestants from season 3 such as Minah Shannon, Linda Rands, and Alexander Dragonetti.
Additionally, the exceptional performances will include the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, BBC Singers, BBC Symphony Chorus, and various guest vocalists, all under the direction of Karen Ní Bhroin.
Tonight, I’m excited to be part of the audience for the opening night of the Proms. Lisa Batiashvili, Caspar Singh, Gerald Finley, and a host of BBC singers are set to take center stage, joined by the BBC Symphony Chorus, London Youth Choirs, and the mighty BBC Symphony Orchestra. Sakari Oramo will lead as our conductor for this spectacular event.
