DON’T NOD Announces Partnership With Netflix to Develop a New Game

DON’T NOD and Netflix are teaming up to create a new game together. This partnership was revealed when DON’T NOD announced its financial results, also sharing that the deal, along with improvements to how the company operates, has led to continued revenue growth.

Although we don’t yet know specifics about the game DON’T NOD is making for Netflix, development has already started at their Montreal studio. The company mentioned this collaboration highlights their expertise in crafting stories for popular franchises and their interest in new gaming technologies like cloud gaming. This suggests the game will likely be based on an existing Netflix property.

DON’T NOD announced its earnings, reporting €7 million in revenue. This was largely due to cost savings from restructuring its Paris studio. Expenses totaled around €6.4 million, primarily from marketing the launch of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. While the game didn’t sell as well as hoped, leading to a €13.1 million write-down, this didn’t affect the company’s cash flow.

DON’T NOD CEO Oskar Guilbert reported strong revenue growth in the first half of the year and noted that their new performance plan is beginning to show results, with even greater improvements expected later in the year. He also highlighted a significant new development agreement with Netflix as a major achievement for the company.

DON’T NOD expects several upcoming releases to boost its revenue. This week saw the launch of The Lonesome Guild, and they plan to release a new game called Aphelion in 2026, which will start a completely original series. They are also currently discussing another project, known internally as P14.

Aphelion was first shown at the Xbox Games Showcase in June 2025. It’s a game where you’ll explore a diverse alien planet, featuring landscapes like deep ravines and towering mountains. The game will combine a strong story with thrilling, suspenseful gameplay.

In the game Aphelion, players experience the story of a newly discovered ninth planet, Persephone. You’ll play as an astronaut on the Hope 01 mission, which unfortunately crash-lands on the planet’s surface. Aphelion will be available on PC and Xbox Series X/S, and will be included with Xbox Game Pass from day one.
