Kairosoft is releasing a physical copy of Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story for the Nintendo Switch in Japan on April 16th. It will cost 3,800 yen, the company announced.
I’m so excited! You can now play Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story on pretty much anything – Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC (through Steam), and even on your iPhone or Android phone! It’s available worldwide, so everyone can get in on the fun.
The physical version of the game in Japan will support 15 languages: English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Thai, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Hindi, and Indonesian. It will also come with a special guidebook.

Game Flow
First, let’s make a dorayaki.
Set up seats and shelves of sweets inside the shop and open it.
As you discover different sweets while making them, you will attract more customers.
Sometimes, you’ll satisfy your customers so much that your dorayaki shop will become well-known nationwide.
Doraemon and Friends
Five friends will become shop staff and help out in the shop. Shop staff have two parameters.
- Exploration – Helps you find ingredients and get rid of obstacles.
- Skill – Helps you make sweets in the kitchen and improve sweets in the prototype room.

Creating a variety of new treats will help our shop grow. Let’s gather the necessary ingredients and start baking!
You can usually find recipes for sweets by checking ingredient combinations, but occasionally you’ll come across unique sweets that don’t have any listed recipes.
Be Particular About the Decorations
Feel free to decorate your sweets however you like – appearance is key! Attractive decorations will not only make your sweets look better at the tasting, but also enhance their overall quality and how they’re perceived. Improving the presentation will definitely have a positive impact.
The decorations may go well with the staff who puts the finishing touches on them.
Let’s Search for Ingredients
Collect ingredients from different locations. Using these ingredients, you can create delicious new sweets.
How well your staff explores impacts what you find. Higher exploration numbers mean a better chance of discovering new characters and items. It also determines the quality of books you can use to enhance your sweets.
Build a Facility
Installing facilities is important for the development of your shop.
Facility Parameters
- Charm – The higher it is, the higher the satisfaction will be and the more points you will receive.
- Genre – There are types such as wabisabi or retro, and building facilities of the same genre nearby will generate area bonuses.
Aim to Rank Up
As you progress, you’ll gain more control over your shop, unlocking new options and allowing you to build more features.
You’ll get to use the Lander-Expander more often, letting you grow your space even further.

About the Ending
The game is designed to last for one year, concluding at the end of the fourth week of March. However, you’ll still be able to keep playing even after that date.
After finishing the game, starting a new one with “New Game+” lets you carry over some of your progress, giving you a head start in building your business.
